Liebherr Offshore Cranes Accessing New Markets

Liebherr’s maritime manufacturing plant in Rostock has been awarded the contract to supply the heavy-lift crane for the Orion, a new wind farm installation and platform decommissioning vessel ordered by DEME from COSCO (QiDong) Offshore, a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry. The crane is rated at 3,000 tonnes at more than 50 metres, with a lifting height in excess of 170 meters and a designation of HLC (Heavy-Lift Crane) 295000. Delivery will be spring 2019. Liebherr mobile cranes successfully complete final bridge dismantling job in the dark and fog

Three massive prestressed concrete supports for a road bridge were dismantled under great time pressure near Osnabrück. The railway track under the bridge was shut to rail traffic for two nights. Crane contractors Sommer-Kranverleih from Bremen and Autokrane-Spallek from Ibbenbüren each brought an LTM 1300-6.2 to the site to complete the job. Find out more

Efficient and comfortable: BRCM puts the Liebherr R 946 crawler excavator to work

French company BRCM (Budillon Rabatel Concassage Mobile) has put a new Liebherr R 946 crawler excavator into operation. The R 946 was added to BRCM's machine fleet in summer 2016 and ensures the crushers are supplied with material. New diesel engine: in-line 6-cylinder engine with displacement of 18 litres expands portfolio

Liebherr expands its diesel engine product range. A further in-line 6-cylinder engine with 18-litre displacement will extend the portfolio in time for the introduction of the European Stage V emission standard. Customers in the off-road segment will thus be offered an additional product with proven Liebherr advantages in the performance range between 450 and 620kW. Find out more

Sönke Jordt expands fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane

Sönke Jordt GmbH & Co. KG based in Ratekau in Schleswig-Holstein took delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane at the manufacturing plant in Ehingen at the beginning of February. The 5-axle 250-tonne mobile crane represents an upwards expansion in the company's fleet. Liebherr's VarioBase® variable support base was an important factor in the decision. Find out more
