On March 25, 2019, Liebherr-Aerospace and COMAC signed a Letter of Intent regarding the supply of the air management system and landing gear for the next 100 ARJ21 aircraft. The ceremony took place at the Hôtel de Marigny, next to the Elysée Palace in Paris, as part of the program of the official state visit paid by the President of China, Xi Jinping, and his delegation to the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS (France), Liebherr’s center of excellence for air management systems, has developed and is producing the air management system for the ARJ21. Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH (Germany), Liebherr’s center of excellence for flight control, landing gear, gears, gearboxes as well as electronics is responsible for the design and manufacture of the landing gear for the regional jet. Both OEMs offer furthermore to the operators of the ARJ21 comprehensive customer services for their systems.
