News | 09/14/2023 At the 40th Matexpo: Koen Ricaert takes delivery of new Liebherr mobile construction crane

The Belgian trade fair Matexpo is where the European construction industry meets every year, with a focus on road construction, civil engineering and construction vehicles. Liebherr factory dealer Van Der Spek was on hand to show a MK 88-4.1 mobile construction crane, an 81 K.1 fast-erecting crane and a 270 EC-B 12 tower crane, while Belgian company Koen Ricaert BV used the fair to add an MK 88-4.1 to its fleet.

Handover at Matexpo: Koen Ricaert Managing Director - Heidi Devos and Koen Ricaert personally received the mobile construction crane.

It all started with a used Liebherr mobile construction crane: the MK 100 excited the managing directors Heidi Devos and Koen Ricaert. Convinced by the well-known Liebherr quality and the service of the Belgian authorised dealer Van Der Spek, the decision was quickly made when a new mobile construction crane was to be added to the fleet: an MK 88-4.1, which was to go out on its first assignments just a few days after the handover at the trade fair. It will move prefabricated parts on a construction site near the company's headquarters in Waregem (West Flanders). The MK 88-4.1 has a lifting capacity of up to eight tonnes and can move up to 2,200 kilograms at maximum outreach (45 metres). At 45 degrees of inclination, a hook height of up to 59 metres is possible.

Koen Ricaert specialises in the renovation of industrial roofs and façades, the professional removal of asbestos laths and metal construction and installation work for industrial roofs. The company employs ten people.
