Hydraulic cylinder series-production range according to ISO 6022
The hydraulic cylinder series-production range according to ISO 6022 offers industrial customers a portfolio of cylinders that are specifically tailored to their needs. The installation dimensions and mounting options are based on ISO standard specifications. The series contains a total of 24 basic rated diameter variants for the piston and piston rod combination and thus even includes two dimensions exceeding the standard. Flexible configuration and diverse options mean that the cylinder series also offers maximum customisation for every application.

Scope of application
Hydraulic cylinders of the series-production range according to ISO 6022 are suitable for use in stationary applications where they can withstand both static and dynamic loads. In the paper and abrasive blasting industry as well as in automation and production technologies, machines are as much a part of the application spectrum as machine tools.
Numerous configurable options
With six mounting types, four alternative oil connections and two coatings for each basic cylinder variant, the Liebherr hydraulic cylinder series-production range according to ISO 6022 offers a wide range of customisation options. The cylinders can also be equipped with a wide range of additional configurable options. These include, for example, position transducers, end position cushioning, proximity switches or pressure sensors.
To perform a variety of control tasks, it is necessary to be able to accurately capture, monitor and control the linear movements and behaviour of hydraulic cylinders. For this reason, the ISO 6022 compliant series is designed so that pressure sensors, proximity switches and position transducers can be selected as options. Liebherr uses products from well-known manufacturers or according to customer requirements.
The standard coating is a high-quality single chromium layer with a thickness of 25 μm (± 5 μm). For higher corrosion or impact protection requirements, a hardened piston rod with double chrome coating is available. This coating ensures a minimum of 96 hours in the acetic acid salt spray test (AASS) according to DIN EN ISO 9227 rating 10.
Retraction to end positions is often controlled and smooth, especially in highly dynamic applications. Liebherr also offers the option of an adjustable cushioning system. Customers can choose between bottom- and/or rod-side cushioning. The system ensures jolt-free and delay-free starting.
Seals are very important for the reliability of hydraulic cylinders. With a compact sealing arrangement and an innovative sealing system, Liebherr also meets the highest of demands with this series. Only high quality, low-friction gaskets are used by default. The rod seal also uses a proven tandem sealing system consisting of primary and secondary seals.
To be compatible with the wide variety of hydraulic cylinder installation situations, the ISO 6022 compliant series has six possible types of mounting: Swivel eye on the bottom side (MP3), joint eye on the bottom side (MP5), round flange on the head side (MF3), round flange on the bottom side (MF4), pivot pin mounting (MT4) and foot mounting (MS2). A thread is used for connection to the piston rod. Optionally, a suitable joint head can also be pre-assembled.
The standard oil connection in the ISO 6022 compliant series of hydraulic cylinders is an inch-sized threaded connection. Depending on customer requirements, American UNF threaded connections, metric threads or PSI-SAE connections are also possible.
