The art of lifting.
A new champ in its class
Zero emission construction machines
Bridge segments are often handled with demanding lifts. Also the surroundig areas, often mountainous or marshy landscapes, have to be considered.
With lifting solutions of up to 3,000 t, LR cranes can handle loads in every possible industrial application.
One hundred percent reliability, safety and accuracy are required when construction works are executed in power plants or in the petrochemical industry.
Quite often the best winds are where the ground is hard to reach - if there is ground at all. This is where our LR crawler cranes come in, at onshore installations or mountainous areas, flat lands or even offshore sites.
Especially in cities, the river can be used as an alternative transport route. Crawler cranes carry out lifting operations on floating structures. Building materials, which are transported and discharged on the river, take trucks off the road, limit traffic jams and protect road users.
Our crawler cranes serve as optimal carrier equipment. With attached leader system, they are suitable for all common piling and drilling methods. They excel through large working ranges and enable particularly effective lengths.
Our crawler cranes have an excellent array of safety equipment. Our specialists conduct stringent tests on every crane to ensure they meet our exacting quality standards.
We also deliver the latest expertise to crane drivers and customers. This enables us to highlight specific dangers in crane operation to ensure greater safety for everyday work.
We adopt the very highest safety standards for the design of our crawler cranes. This particularly applies to the structural values. Our engineers calculate every single crane's structural integrity with a high safety margin.
Every single crane has to pass a whole series of intensive, continuous tests and checks both during the entire production process and afterwards on our own test site. The test load for the crane acceptance procedure on the test site is around 25 percent higher than the standard load capacity.
Crane drivers and operating personnel often have to work at great heights. To keep them safe, we’ve developed an effective safety concept to provide the best possible safety standards. Collective safety equipment such as railings and handles on crawler cranes prevent from falling.
In addition, we fit every new crane with a fall arrest system. The safety harnesses are attached to steel cables which run along the boom using carabiner hooks. The PPE has undergone a whole series of tests and has received multiple certificates from state safety authorities.
We are committed to making crane operations safe. One of our focal points is the clarification of risks and dangers caused by the effects of wind. Wind can exert additional or reduced forces on a crane and can change character in a matter of seconds. It acts on both the load and the crane. The wind load can often not be detected by the crane control.
We provide information about these effects and simple, readily understandable training on how to calculate the maximum permitted wind speeds in a given situation.
Liebherr is the perfect partner for crawler cranes. Our own training centres ensure that our personnel's skills are always right up to date with the latest technology.
We also provide our customers with a wide range of training. Well-trained personnel help to increase safety at work. Book a training to ensure your own safety during crane operations.
The new cabin design sets new standards in terms of ergonomics and safety.
Not only a cooler for provisions, but also storage space, work surfaces, a storage box for a cell phone and a USB port are situated directly next to the operator.
The new cabin ensures unobstructed views of all surroundings. In case the working area is out of sight, the camera system steps in and fills all blind spots.
Trendsetting: The first battery-powered crawler crane in the world.
Not only emission-free, but also very silent.
Planing & lifting - Liebherr provides solutions for every step of your project. All work steps from picking up to setting down the load can be simulated on the PC.
The latest addition to the Liebherr crawler crane range is a 400-tonne crane specially designed for all challenges in construction and civil engineering.
