Liebherr has more than 60 years of experience in mixing technology supporting a variety of demands. The Liebherr Concrete Technology factory headquarters has a laboratory that is dedicated to support technical demands for its customers.

Liebherr performed extensive tests for further development of mixing designs and to improve the quality of existing recipes to achieve new properties in concrete mixing. The results motivated Liebherr experts to develop the new line of laboratory mixers.

The new line of laboratory mixers gives customers the ability to create and test their own mixes, with full control of the technological parameters involved in the concrete. For instance, the Liebherr Lab mixer can work with different concrete mixes and provide complete data from the mixing process.

Liebherr's long history in the concrete industry has built a tremendous amount of data. This knowledge gathered throughout the years is the basis for developing simulations and crafting modern techniques for testing, providing a better understanding of the mixing process. Our Lab mixer not only considers the mechanical process of mixing, but also allows the evaluation of thermal data, moisture content and slump, by measuring the resistance forces, eventually achieving the shortest mixing times to reach a proper homogeneity.

As a desirable outcome of the data collection from the Lab mixer, it is possible to replicate the concrete recipe in real scale. Ultimately, the lab mixer saves time and money. By knowing the shortest mixing time, for example, you can improve productivity, there is less wearing of mixing tools.

Following the concept of our conventional mixers models, Liebherr Lab mixers are available as twin-shaft mixers (DW) and ring pan mixers (RIV). Either one is designed to optimize the concrete recipe development process in an economical and productive way, providing enough data that can be effectively replicated on real production in a concrete plant.
