General purpose offshore cranes
Liebherr offers a broad portfolio of versatile crane solutions in the field of general purpose offshore cranes. These include both rope luffing and cylinder luffing cranes, which have proven themselves on the market over many years. They impress with their high reliability, simple function-optimized design and ease of maintenance.
LiMain - Liebherr Intelligent Maintenance
Liebherr Intelligent Maintenance (LiMain) is a new level of independence for manned and unmanned platforms, that offers increased crane availability at lower costs. LiMain is a fully digital, remote and semi-automatic maintenance system, which saves investments and resources for the platform operator. Individual packages based on four modules offer a sophisticated add-on for offshore cranes.
Heavy lift offshore cranes
Offshore infrastructure projects, such as installing wind turbine components, placing offshore platforms weighing thousands of tons, relocating, or removing large, voluminous maritime foundation structures, are all the domain of Liebherr offshore cranes. Covering capacities up to 5,500 tons and lifting heights well beyond 170m above sea level are no unusual challenge for Liebherr’s gear. Crane Around The Leg (CAL)
Liebherr’s CAL is the tool of choice when it comes to jack-up installation solutions. It utilises the vessel's own structure as pedestal support. By encircling the vessel's jacking leg, the crane minimises its own footprint on the vessel's cargo deck, which is crucial for accommodating equipment, personnel, and pay load. Beyond that, the encircled leg is out of the cranes way and does not cause any obstruction, compared with free-standing cranes.
Heavy Lift Cranes (HLC)
Liebherr’s HLC machines are specially designed for the installation of offshore wind turbine foundations and for the assembly and decommissioning of infrastructure in the offshore energy sector. Depending on the customer's ship and application concept, Liebherr offers the best solution for worldwide offshore use with a wide range of models from the HLC series in numerous different tailored configurations.
Wind power
Offshore wind is one of the fundamental pillars of our future energy production. Liebherr's heavy-lift offshore cranes play a “load-bearing” role in the construction, maintenance and repair as well as the possible repowering or later dismantling of foundations, wind turbines, transformer and converter stations.
