New flagship at Kran Saller: Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 in wind farm

By investing in an LTM 1750-9.1 from Liebherr Kran Saller based in Deggendorf has massively boosted its crane fleet. The new flagship with a maximum load capacity of 750 tonnes was delivered in July. The large crane was recently used at Berngerode wind farm where it erected concrete towers up to 89 metres high for twelve wind turbines. Find out more

Liebherr LTR 1060 telescopic crawler crane proves its off-road credentials in high Alpine terrain

A Liebherr LTR 1060 was driven around tight bends and on gradients of up to 40 percent to the site at an altitude of 2020 meter to extend a tunnel on the Gornergrat railway in Zermatt in the Swiss Canton of Wallis. New erection concept for Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane using the LTR 1220 as counterweight

Liebherr has developed an innovative concept for erecting LR 1600/2 crawler cranes with long wind power boom systems efficiently and safely. Using the mass of an LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane as the counterweight significantly reduces the amount of ballast that has to be transported and eliminates ballast handling on site. Liebherr telescopic crawler crane shows its qualities for mining operations

Since the start of 2014 an LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane has been performing superbly in Peru in very difficult conditions. The new crane is operating in a copper-zinc mine in the Andes almost 5,000 metres above sea level. Gruas Alquileres S.A., the owner of the Liebherr crane is very satisfied with its investment: The LTR 1220 handles the conditions with ease. It is the first crane of this type in Latin America. First operation of the Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane a complete success

A Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane was in operation for the first time. One of the first models of the new 1000-tonne crane was transported to the Petrom refinery in Plojesti, near the Romanian capital Bucharest. In the course of the modernisation of the plant, several columns had to be hoisted into the existing system. The largest of the massive steel cylinders measured 58 metres in length with a 4-metre diameter and weighed in at 335 tonnes. It was a tricky job for the specialists from heavy load contractor Felbermayr based in Austria since the work had to be carried out with the plant running and in extremely constricted conditions. Enormous legs for a ship. Liebherr LR 13000 in operation for the first time with PowerBoom

The Lloyd shipyard in Bremerhaven was the arena for the largest conventional crawler crane in the world this April and May. Following its first job in 2012/13 in the USA, the Liebherr LR 13000 crawler crane has just completed its impressive European premiere. Mighty jack-up legs 87 metres in length, each weighing 940 tons, were installed in the "Aeolus" jack-up vessel. The parallel boom of the LR 13000, referred to as "PowerBoom", was used for this for the first time. Find out more

Liebherr LR 11350 crawler crane moves giant ring liner in India

A Liebherr crawler crane LR 11350 erected a complete pre-formed ring linger during the construction of reactor block 3 at the Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant in Western India in the State Gujarat. A unit owned by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), the Government owned company for nuclear energy and nuclear power plants in India. With a diameter of around 50 m, a height of 5 m and a total weight of approx. 170 t including the weight of the ring, the spider type lifting tackle fitted with evener beam, the ring was probably the dimensionally largest single structure ever to have been hoisted by a crane in India. Liebherr brings the new 1,000 tonne (1,200 US-tons) LR 11000 Crawler Crane to Conexpo Con/Agg 2014

Conexpo Con/Agg 2014 in Las Vegas (USA) is the first occasion where Liebherr brings the new 1,000 tonnes (1,200 US-tons) crawler crane to the US. To supplement the crawler crane range between the LR 1750 and the LR 11350 Liebherr unveiled the new LR 11000 at the 2013 Bauma in Munich, Germany. Find out more
