Buckner's Liebherr crawler cranes building the giant roof structure over the largest tennis stadium in the world

The Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York is the largest tennis stadium in the world and the venue for the US Open. The stadium is now getting a retractable roof to avoid the frequent match postponements at the US Open caused by rain. Over a period of ten months, a Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane and two LR 1600/2 operated by American crane contractor Buckner HeavyLift Cranes have been putting the steel structure for the roof in place. Liebherr unveils new 500-tonne LR 1500 crawler crane at customer days

Liebherr unveils the LR 1500 with maximum load capacity of 500 tonnes at 2015 customer days. The completely newly developed crawler crane delivers the load capacities of the 500-tonne crawler crane class throughout its complete operating range, whilst upholding the dimensions and component weights, which have previously been standard in the 400-tonne class. With a transport weight of just 45 tonnes, it can be transported around the world without restrictions. The overall concept of the new crane is designed for simplicity in all areas and great economy. Liebherr unveils a new 250-tonne mobile crane to visitors from all over the world at its 2015 customer days at the manufacturing plant in Ehingen. The LTM 1250-5.1 is now the most powerful mobile crane on 5 axles on the market. It is the third crane model on which Liebherr uses its innovative single-engine concept. In addition to a multi-functional folding jib, a 50m fixed jib is also available. Entering a new load capacity class – Spallek invests in Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane

Powerful, user-friendly and quickly ready for use: these are the key words used by Autokrane Werner Spallek GmbH & Co. KG to describe its new Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane. The investment means that Spallek has now entered a higher load capacity class. New 500-tonne crane: Hüffermann Krandienst expands its mobile crane fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1

Hüffermann Krandienst GmbH took delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane in May. The 500-tonne machine represents a major expansion upwards into a higher load capacity range for the fleet of the north German company. Liebherr presents a Cross Section of its Varied Range of Cranes at the CTT Moscow 2015

The Liebherr Group presents a selection of its varied range of cranes at the CTT Moscow. While the LTR 1060 telescopic crawler crane with its variable boom system is predestined for the assembly of finished parts, the modular 150 EC-B 8 Litronic flat-top crane can be modified for a broad range of construction site requirements. Liebherr mobile cranes launch 100-tonne motor ship into water

The “Seegold” is a new motor ship for shuttle services on Lake Constance. In May two Liebherr mobile cranes have launched the 100-tonne ship's hull into the water. Tight spaces and the low capacity of the quay in Friedrichshafen made the lift a challenge. In use were an LTM 1350-6.1 from the Wiesbauer company, and an LTM 1400-7.1 from Paule. Find out more
