EcoVadis
We use EcoVadis to quantify our progress in the areas of corporate responsibility and sustainability. EcoVadis is one of the world’s most trusted providers of sustainability ratings for companies. The holistic evaluation is based on four central themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The overall rating is obtained from a weighted average of these four individual ratings.

Our EcoVadis rating for 2026: Platinum
Liebherr-Hausgeräte was awarded the Platinum Medal by EcoVadis in 2026, placing it among the top 1% of all companies assessed worldwide. With 89 out of 100 points, we improved our overall score by 14 points compared to the previous year, achieving our best result to date in the EcoVadis sustainability rating. The assessment covers the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The positive development in all four areas reflects the quality of our sustainability management system and underscores the importance of transparent processes along the entire value chain.
The development of our EcoVadis rating
EcoVadis sustainability assessment began at Liebherr-Hausgeräte in 2019, initially at the Lienz site. Since 2022, all five production sites worldwide have been included in the EcoVadis assessment. This expansion to all production sites underscores our commitment to a long-term and comprehensive approach to sustainability.
About EcoVadis
EcoVadis is one of the world's leading providers of sustainability ratings for companies. The applied sustainability assessment methodology measures the quality of a company's sustainability management system based on policies, measures, and results. It is based on international sustainability standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000, the guideline for organizational social responsibility. The assessment incorporates 21 sustainability criteria, which are assigned to four thematic areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Factors such as industry, company size, and operational locations are also taken into account.
