    Liebherr tower cranes in action erecting the highest building in Europe

    A total of ten Liebherr tower cranes owned by rental company Sutek are currently in action for contractor Renaissance Construction, erecting the Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg, Russia. The construction project includes what will be the highest building in Europe, the Lakhta Tower, and an adjoining multi-purpose building. Three 710 HC-L 32/64 Litronic and one 357 HC-L 12/24 Litronic luffing jib cranes are being used for the construction work on the tower. Three 357 HC-L 12/24 Litronic luffing jib cranes and three 280 EC-H 12 Litronic High-Top cranes are in action on the multi-purpose building.

    Four Liebherr luffing jib cranes are currently operating in Baku (Azerbaijan). Since the beginning of 2015 an architectural landmark has been under construction in the capital of Azerbaijan, the urban development project known as "The Crescent Bay".

    Liebherr 1000 EC-B 125 Litronic tower crane used for the first time to erect a wind turbine with a hub height of 149m

    A Liebherr tower crane recently erected a wind turbine at an altitude of around 800m in the Prechtaler Schanze Wind Farm in the Black Forest. The 1000 EC-B with its extremely low footprint erected for the first time a wind turbine with a hub height of 149m on the hills between the towns of Gutach and Mühlenbach. The tower crane had never before been assembled to such a height for wind turbine manufacturer ENERCON – both with and without guying to the wind turbine tower.

    Liebherr presents a Cross Section of its Varied Range of Cranes at the CTT Moscow 2016

    The Liebherr Group presents a selection of its varied range of cranes at the CTT Moscow. While the LTR 1100 telescopic crawler crane with its variable boom system is predestined for the assembly of finished parts, the modular 150 EC-B 8 Litronic flat-top crane can be modified for a broad range of construction site requirements. Visitors to the exhibition are also able to test the crane simulator for construction cranes, which is a permanent item in Liebherr's crane driver training program.

    Liebherr shows the modified 43 R4 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump at the CTT 2016. The four-section distributor boom is extremely stable and torsionally rigid, permitting maximum flexibility and a large working range of the distributor boom with narrow outrigging.

    LiSIM – Simulators for Liebherr construction machines: training under even more realistic conditions

    At Bauma 2016 Liebherr presents its enhanced LiSIM concept. With these simulators it is possible to drive tower cranes, duty cycle crawler cranes, crawler cranes up to 300 tonnes and deep foundation machines in a virtual environment under even more realistic conditions. Ambient conditions such as wind, fog and rain, as well as different times of the day and night, are simulated and trained in a realistic manner. This increases the safety and productivity in real operation.

    Liebherr erects tower crane at an altitude of 225 metres

    A Liebherr tower crane was erected on Baden-Württemberg's tallest building, the elevator test tower in Rottweil, with the aid of a 280 EC-H 12 Litronic. The 280 EC-H 12 Litronic with a hook height of 265 metres will now be supported by an 85 EC-B 5 FR.tronic. Together the two Liebherr cranes will ensure excellent load handling on the site.

    In New York City, the new Liebherr Luffing Crane 710 HC-L starts with its job

    The first Liebherr luffing crane 710 HC-L 32/64 Litronic has recently been erected on the MoMA Tower jobsite in New York City (USA) and just started its work. Together with a second 710 HC L, that will be delivered mid 2016, the two tower cranes help to build the 76 story building in Midtown Manhattan. With a height of 320m (1,050ft), the skyscraper will be one of the highest buildings in the city. Both cranes are leased from the North American Liebherr dealer Morrow to the contractor Sorbara Construction, Lynbrook, New York.
