The LiCAB^® delivers a whole host of features to enable every crane operator to feel at home when he is at work. With a floor area of 2.35 m², the LiCAB^® has more space than any previous flat-top crane cabins. Well designed, tidy internal structure, the new control stand, which can be adjusted individually, and various other features deliver a perfect workplace.

In addition to its size, one of the main features of a crane cabin is the quality of the view it provides. Even from the outside it is obvious that the LiCAB^® has been completely redeveloped with special attention being given to improving visibility. Adjustments to both the design and material have resulted in an enlargement in viewing area by up to 25%.

LiCAB^® provides a clear, safe view to the front and below: The cabin has safety glazing instead of the annoying strut to prevent the operator falling out. That enables the crane operator to have a perfect view of the site at all times, enhancing the safety of personnel and the machine.

Perfect conditions are required at the workplace to enable personnel to concentrate and be effective throughout their working day. The LiCAB^® provides the crane operator with all the comfort he needs.

The new Tower Crane Operating System (TC-OS) has been improved, above all, in terms of user friendliness. Fewer taps with the fingers are necessary to reach the required adjustment. The menu bar is visible at all times to enable the operator to find what he needs quickly.

The scaling process is one of the most important steps in a safe commissioning procedure for a crane. The newly developed scaling assistant provides the service technician with predefined masks and selected possible inputs for this purpose. The control system automatically adopts the correct load diagram and settings. At the same time a logic check of the settings is carried out in the background. Scaling is significantly easier and safer with the scaling assistant than previously, even in difficult conditions.

Updates take place over the air to ensure that you remain up to date at all times and can work with the latest TC-OS control functions. That means that when an update is displayed, the crane operator or erection engineer can choose the installation time to suit them and only has to tap the display to start the update process. The update is not activated until the complete package has been downloaded. If the connection is lost, the crane will continue to operate reliably using the previous TC-OS version without any restrictions.

The Liebherr trolley camera system can be added to the new display using a video input. Once it has been connected, the content of the 12" display is split into two halves – the crane data display at the top and the trolley camera image at the bottom. The camera zoom automatically adjusts to the hook level without the operator having to do anything. This saves having to buy a second display and helps the crane operator to work in comfort and with perfect focus.

The adjustment of the operating-range limiting system (ABB) is supported graphically by the TC-OS. The limiting shape is drawn and displayed in real time. The crane operator can adjust the map alignment as he wishes, similar to a vehicle navigation system. That means that either the crane or the environment moves in the display.
