New mobile cranes for Floßdorf – Liebherr persuades with innovation, efficiency and customer service

Crane and heavy haulage contractor Dietmar Floßdorf recently expanded its fleet with two additional Liebherr mobile cranes, an LTM 1100-5.2 and an LTM 1300-6.2. The experienced crane contractor made the purchase in response to demand from the market. Floßdorf attaches a great deal of value to the compact dimensions and the VarioBase® variable supporting base feature of the cranes. These enable Liebherr mobile cranes to deliver increased capacity and also make them extremely safe and flexible to use.

The telescopic crawler crane LTR 1060 has now completed an extreme tour at an immense altitude of 2900 metres. It was required at the foot of the Matterhorn to help construct the mountain station for the new Hirli chairlift.

The Liebherr LTR 1060 telescopic crawler crane from Swiss crane contractor Clausen has already demonstrated its outstanding off-road capabilities many times. The LTR 1060 has now completed another extreme tour at an immense altitude of 2900 metres. The first model of the new Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane was delivered to Swiss crane contractor Senn AG in the summer. Working with an LTM 1130-5.1 the new mobile crane completed a job during the last few weeks which other cranes would not have managed as a result of the restricted amount of space available. Over a period of eight nights, a 100-year old railway bridge was replaced in Aarwangen in the Canton of Bern. It was only possible to erect both cranes on a narrow, parallel road bridge using the VarioBase® variable supporting base developed by Liebherr.

The Hungarian crane market has recently expanded by three Liebherr mobile cranes with a total load capacity of 1,000 tonnes. Ács-Gép Holding invested in an LTM 1200-5.1, an LTM 1300-6.2 and an LTM 1500-8.1. Reliable, experienced local Liebherr service provides Ács-Gép with security for its practical crane operations. Liebherr opens sales and service location for mobile cranes in Colombia

Fast, good quality service all over the world – this is one of the main factors behind Liebherr's success. To continue to improve the range of services for mobile and crawler cranes in South America, a new sales and service location with Liebherr personnel was opened in April 2015 in Bogotá (Colombia). The aim is to be able to react even more quickly to the needs of the market and customers. The neighbouring market in Ecuador is also being covered and steadily grown from there.

SCHOLPP expands crane fleet with six new Liebherr mobile cranes

SCHOLPP Kran & Transport GmbH based in Stuttgart has ordered six new mobile cranes with load capacities between 70 tonnes and 350 tonnes from Liebherr. All the cranes feature the VarioBase® Variable Supporting Base. The first of two LTM 1100-4.2 models ordered has already been delivered and has already completed several jobs successfully.

The service life of the "Zero-G" parabolic aircraft came to an end with a spectacular hoist over the fence at Cologne-Bonn Airport. The heavy load experts from Riga Mainz hoisted the 82-tonne Airbus A-300 from the airport's apron using a Liebherr LR 1600/2 crawler crane and a sophisticated combination of attachment equipment. The aircraft will now become a museum exhibit on show to the general public.
