Responsibility to our employees, society and the environment
The energy transition is progressing, and climate protection is on everyone's lips. Whether through our products, building management or in plant traffic – at Liebherr in Ehingen there are many examples, large and small, of environmental protection. Our products are also used all over the world to build energy infrastructure – such as wind turbines – that plays a key role in decarbonising the energy system.
More and more cities and regions – including Oslo, Amsterdam and Stockholm – are adopting construction sites with low or zero local emissions. As a manufacturer, we are adapting to these changing requirements and taking local emissions reduction and climate action into account when developing our cranes.
In our role as a company, we are faced with important decisions. We know that environmental and climate protection must not come at the expense of performance, efficiency and quality, but that these aspects must be in harmony with each other. We therefore build cranes that deliver reliable performance across a wide range of applications. Our technology-neutral approach aims to fulfil customer needs and environmental requirements in the best possible way.
Progress and innovation emerge through evolutionary processes. That is why we conduct research and development in different directions and are taking a technology-neutral approach to the future.

At Liebherr in Ehingen, an interdisciplinary team coordinates the implementation of all necessary measures. Corporate responsibility (CR) is a top priority – in addition to the commercial director and a CR officer, the team includes representatives from eleven other departments.

Quality management ISO 9001: the certification of our quality management system confirms our commitment to the highest quality and customer orientation. It is firmly anchored in our continuous improvement process and promotes the sustainable optimisation of our processes – for maximum customer satisfaction worldwide.
Environmental management ISO 14001: the certification confirms our environmental management system, through which we systematically monitor and improve our environmental performance.
Energy management ISO 50001: the certification confirms our energy management system, through which we increase the energy efficiency of our production site.

We place great importance on acting with integrity. Our actions are governed by the applicable laws as well as the internal standards, codes of conduct and principles of conduct of the Liebherr Group.

Compliance with laws and internal regulations is a top priority for the Liebherr Group. In order to meet this requirement, it is important to identify possible misconduct early and follow up on it immediately.
