Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH at the EMO Hannover 2013

As a system supplier of gear cutting machines, tools and automation systems, Liebherr will be presenting numerous new products at the international exhibition for the metalworking industry EMO Hannover 2013, which takes place from 16 to 21 September 2013 in Hanover, Germany. Visitors will find Liebherr at Booth A 11 in Hall 26.

User-friendly innovation: Liebherr’s new TipOpen technology

The new under worktop wine cabinet UWT 1682 with TipOpen technology has been showcased for the first time at IFA 2013 and available in stores since April 2014. The TipOpen concept allows this newly designed wine cabinet to be perfectly integrated into a handle-free kitchen.

Exceptional convenience: the new NoFrost built-in freezers

The range of built-in freezers is being currently expanded to include three models with NoFrost refrigeration technology in energy efficiency class A++. The new IGN 1054 for niche-size 72 cm integrates seamlessly into handle-free kitchens, and is the perfect partner for refrigerators designed for niche-sizes 102 and 122 cm. The IGN 1654 for niche-size 88 cm has four extra-deep drawers giving plenty of storage space for large food items. The IGN 2756 for niche-size 140 cm also offers ample storage space.

First Delivery of A400M: Liebherr-Aerospace on Board

On August 1, 2013, Airbus Military delivered the first A400M to the French Air Force, which is the first air force to receive the multi-role transport aircraft. Liebherr-Aerospace supplies the A400M with a wide range of flight-critical systems and components.

First Flight: Liebherr-Aerospace on Board the Airbus A350 XWB

Liebherr-Aerospace supplies major systems and components for the Airbus A350 XWB, which successfully made its first flight on June 14, 2013: The nose landing gear, the slat actuation system as well as several flap actuation key components. Designed, developed and manufactured by Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Lindenberg (Germany), Liebherr’s center of excellence for landing gear, flight control and actuation systems, they feature the latest technologies for the next generation of long-range aircraft – such as advanced light-weight materials and coatings, or high-level integration of power electronics together with precision mechanics and high-pressure hydraulics.

Brit Air Selects Liebherr-Aerospace for CRJ 700/1000 Components Repair

Liebherr-Aerospace and Brit Air have recently signed a Repair-by-the-Hour agreement for components of the integrated air management systems (ATA 21, 25, 30, 36) on board the airline’s CRJ 700/1000 aircraft. Brit Air is a fully owned subsidiary of HOP!, Air France’s regional carrier based in Morlaix (France).

Liebherr-Transportation Systems was recently selected by Tangshan Railway Vehicle Co. Ltd. (Tangshan, China) to supply anti-buckling systems for low-floor trams.

Liebherr Delivers First HVAC Systems for Double-Deck Coaches to Bombardier

Liebherr-Transportation Systems has recently delivered the first heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for TWINDEXX Vario double-deck trains to Bombardier. 135 coaches will be equipped with these systems. They are part of a framework agreement concluded in 2008 for a total of 800 double-deck coaches for German rail operator Deutsche Bahn (DB).

Liebherr-Aerospace to Maintain Landing Gears of Royal Jordanian’s Embraer Jets

Liebherr-Aerospace recently closed a deal with Royal Jordanian (RJ) to repair and overhaul the landing gears of the airline’s three Embraer 175 and five Embraer 195 jets. The contract was signed at MRO Middle East 2013 in Dubai (UAE). According to the five-year agreement, the overhaul program will be carried out at the facility of Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH in Lindenberg (Germany).

Liebherr to Supply Hydraulic Actuators for the New METRO Light Rail Cars in Houston

Liebherr-Transportation Systems has been selected by Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocariles S.A. (CAF) of Beasain (Spain) to develop and manufacture hydraulic actuators for the leveling systems of the new METRO light rail cars in Houston (Texas, USA). The contract covers 468 actuators for 39 trains. In addition, an option on further deliveries was agreed.
