LTM 1110-5.1

Excellent lifting capacities with a really long telescopic boom. And all combined with high worldwide mobility. These are the main characteristics of the LTM 1110-5.1, which we first unveiled at the Bauma event in 2019. The 5-axle crane has a wide range of different driving states, ensuring significant benefits for driving on roads all over the world. The rear outriggers have a double-stage design and achieve a greater support width and the front ones. This gives the entire support system a trapezoidal shape. The combination of this trapezoidal support and our multi-award-winning VarioBase® variable support base is called VarioBase® Plus.

ECOmode minimises both fuel consumption and noise emissions when operating the crane superstructure. The crane operator sets the required working speed using the control lever. The crane control system calculates the perfect engine speed for the diesel engine.


ECOdrive makes the mobile crane significantly more comfortable and quieter by reducing the engine speed. Faster gearshifting delivers greater dynamic and traction offroad. On the road, the torque from the Liebherr diesel engine is used efficiently to minimise fuel consumption.

Single-engine concept

Take one engine out to increase lifting capacity. Or more accurately – the superstructure is powered by the undercarriage engine. Gear shafts are routed from the distributor gear in the substructure via two mitre gears to the pump distributor gear in the superstructure. That enables us to remove one engine – and we use this to increase the crane’s lifting capacity.


Hillstart-Aid makes starting on gradients easier. Move off safely and easily without rolling backwards.

VarioBase® Plus

The combination of VarioBase technology and the crane’s structural steelwork. A trapezoidal support combined with the various support base delivers even higher lifting capacities, particularly over the crane’s rear outriggers.

“Prepared for every task!” is how Liebherr presented the new LTM 1110-5.1 at the Bauma trade fair. The aim for the design of the new 5-axle crane was to enable it to complete jobs all over the world economically and flexibly. But, of course, it had to be powerful as well. Find out more

The first ever LTM 1110-5.1 goes to Spain:

We unveiled our new 110 tonne crane at the Bauma held in April last year in Munich with the slogan “Prepared for every task!”. Since then, our Technical Testing Department has studied the prototypes in more detail, the final tweaks have been made and serial production has started. Find out more
