Liebherr LR 13000 crawler crane modernises Mexican oil refinery

As part of the energy reforms in Mexico, the "Miguel Hidalgo" oil refinery in Tula is being modernised. Mexican crane contractor ESEASA, carried out the hoisting work on behalf of construction contractor ICA Flour, using three Liebherr crawler cranes. They included the largest conventional crawler crane in the world, the LR 13000. When the work will be concluded by the end of 2018, the refinery will be able to produce up to 110,000 more barrels of pure petrol and diesel. Find out more

Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane hoists boat onto Eiffel Tower gallery

French crane contractor S.E Levage completed a crane job at the Parisian landmark which was both unique and challenging with distinction. Since the end of March an 18-metre regatta boat has been enthroned at a hight of around 60 metres on the gallery of the Eiffel Tower. Find out more

Liebherr crawler crane with 1000 tonnes load capacity now strongest lattice boom crane in Switzerland

Emil Egger AG, a transport and heavy haulage contractor based in Sankt Gallen, has been operating Switzerland's strongest crawler crane for several weeks. A Liebherr crawler crane LR 11000 has recently been supplied from the plant in Ehingen for its first job in Zurich. The 1000 tonne crane will be in service around six months there for the assembly of large reinforced concrete supports. Find out more

First Liebherr LTR 1220 Telescopic Crawler Crane for India

NCC Ltd. has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane, which is equipped with polyamide pads for operation on metro site. The crane is currently working on the Nagpur Metro project. In this project the crane hoists girders for the two new metro lines which have a total length of 38 km. Thereby the pick and carry characteristics of telescopic crawler crane are a great advantage. Find out more

Liebherr LR 11350 and LR 1750 crawler cranes complete tandem hoist to position a bridge in Manchester

As part of a major railway construction project in the North of England, the Scottish contractor Weldex uses two Liebherr crawler cranes to complete a central construction phase. In February both crawler cranes performed a tandem hoist for a 560-tonne arched bridge over the River Irwell in Manchester. The new railway bridge will link the city's Piccadilly and Victoria stations. Find out more

TOPKRAN takes delivery of the first Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane in Russia

Moscow crane rental company TOPKRAN took delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane in April. This is the first crane of this type in Russia. TOPKRAN will primarily use the new crane in the construction of underground railways. The Liebherr 750-tonne machine can lift tunnel drilling machines in a single hoist. Previously two cranes hoisting in tandem were required for this work. Find out more
