Through solid understanding of the current and potential customer base, the Manager will be responsible for customer relations and overseeing the Parts and Service functions in the Burlington region and deliver premiere aftermarket support and service. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the functions which includes 3 main departments (Workshop, Field Service and Parts) and providing cross functional support to other product groups in the region as required. The Manager will determine methods and courses of action to achieve regional, departmental and organizational goals through effective planning and efficient performance to ensure that exemplary customer service is delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with internal Liebherr teams including Sales, establish clear goals and targets for the Parts and Service function, to meet the EMT operational needs for the Burlington region
  • Manage customer relationships and address customer concerns
  • Develop customer recovery approach for fleet customers
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives and manage contract execution quality and propose improvement ideasDevelop procedural methods and alignment between the workshop, field service and parts department to ensure collaboration which contributes to maintaining the customer base and enhancing revenue growth
  • Implement process and communication flows for the parts and service function
  • Ensure reliable equipment parts supply and inventory levels in conjunction with Warehouse, as well as the availability of shop and field service technicians to maintain and repair customer equipment
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, timely and accurate work order processing and assess appropriate levels of WIP
  • Work in conjunction with the Warranty Manager to identify, analyze and resolve customer warranty and claims issues
  • Ensure effective, accurate reporting, data management and analytics
  • Determine resource needs and proactively plan staffing and coverage for the region, in conjunction with division management, to ensure efficient operation of the function and oversee the hiring process at the branch
  • Support employee development through orientation, coaching, training, apprenticeships, performance management

Competencies

  • Minimum College Diploma in Business Management, Sales, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Regional management experience in the Heavy Equipment industry
  • Demonstrated exemplary relationship building with customers, internal/external stakeholders and suppliers
  • Well established leadership and performance management skills
  • Well established financial and business acumen, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Proven budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analytics and P&L management
  • Management of WIP, inventory levels, timely customer invoicing
  • MS Office, time entry and metrics software
  • Due diligence and promotion of a Health and Safety culture
  • Bilingual (French/English) an asset
  • Ability to travel across the region
