LiXplore® Bird's Eye

LiXplore® Bird's Eye: The easiest way to explore your surroundings. The system offers drivers a 360° view of the machine. It seamlessly combines the individual images from four digital cameras to create a complete surround view.

With Liebherr's digital 360° surround view system, operators can keep a constant eye on their mobile machine and the paths.

A convenient solution for you as a machine manufacturer to reduce the risk of accidents, increase work safety and improve efficiency.

Image quality

With the digital camera MDC3, the 360° surround view system relies on a high-performance imager. This enables the display of important details in the cab – even in dark areas.

Image stitching

Seamless image stitching without duplicate or disappearing objects ensures an optimal representation of the working environment in the cab – for maximum focused work.

The stitching algorithm runs directly on the DC5 display.

Robustness

All LiXplore® components are designed for demanding applications. The cameras and displays prove themselves every day worldwide in industries such as construction, agriculture or mining.

Autocalibration – simple and time-saving

A one-time basic configuration is carried out for each machine type. You can then calibrate any machine of this type within a very short time:

  • Four printed calibration mats in the overlap area are prerequisite for successful calibration
  • It is not necessary to measure the mats and camera positions; mats only need to be in the overlap area of the cameras.
  • The bar chart on the display continuously shows the calibration progress.

Detailed views

In addition to the 360° top view, various detailed views can also be predefined. Switching between the views is done intuitively via the touch display.

This allows the driver to quickly gain detailed insights into individual areas.

Overlays

Customised overlays give the driver additional information:

  • Illustration of a close-up range
  • Illustration of the maximum possible working range
  • Marking of a maximum swivel range
