Bertrand Meiss
Field engineering manager, technical training manager
My career started in France a mix of technical roles, from maintenance in a large sawmill to a few dredging operations. In 2004, I joined Liebherr as a field service technician, supporting customers across France and around the world on critical, high-impact projects.
Over time, my interest in service and leadership led me to become Head of Customer Service in France, where I focused on strengthening customer relationships and improving how we operated. In 2011, I took on a new challenge and moved to the U.S. to build customer service support for our growing Foundation Equipment segment.
As the business expanded, so did my role. I later became Head of Customer Service for the U.S. crawler crane and foundation equipment segment within the crawler cranes and deep foundation machines division. After the integration with our Maritime segment, I stepped into my current role as Field Engineering Manager and Training Department Manager, where I continue to focus on developing teams, building expertise, and supporting our customers.
