Liebherr breaks new ground with customers at Hillhead 2016

This year’s Hillhead show was extremely positive for Liebherr-Great Britain with the Liebherr stand busy on all three days. Numerous enquiries were received from existing and potential customers with some enquiries covering three sectors of Liebherrs construction product portfolio. Particularly strong interest was shown in the XPower, the tracked excavators, the recently-launched Mobilmix 2.5 concrete batching plant and the new quick release hatch on the truck mixers.

Liebherr is awarded the Red Dot Award 2016 for its new L 550 to L 586 XPower® wheel loaders in the “Product Design” category. The award was announced by the top-ranking jury of experts at the Red Dot gala, which was held on Monday in Essen (Germany). The intelligent, functional design of the XPower wheel loaders won over the jurors.

Liebherr on board the ARJ21: First commercial service flight

On June 28, 2016, the ARJ21 regional jet completed its first commercial service flight. The aircraft is equipped with major systems made by Liebherr.

Liebherr recently completed the first delivery of an LTM mobile crane to Cuba. Womy Rental construction machinery and crane rental company took delivery of the 5-axle LTM 1220-5.2. The crane is destined for long-term use in an ENIMCAR mine in Santa Lucía which extracts minerals for the production of lead and zinc.

A new-build Russian Orthodox church is being built in the centre of Paris not far from the Eiffel Tower. A total of five domes covered with gold leaf will crown the structure on its completion. The hoist of the largest dome by a Liebherr mobile crane drew a host of prominent personalities from the worlds of politics and religion in France and Russia. Introducing Liebherr at Hillhead 2016

Liebherr has something for everyone at Hillhead this year. The range of machines on display includes wheel loaders, including the new generation of XPower® wheel loaders, bulldozers, quarry specification excavators, a refurbished material handler and examples of Liebherr’s concrete technology. Machines will either be on static display at Liebherr’s stand or in action on the quarry face.
