Liebherr participates in challenge for Vienna’s public transport operator

Liebherr participated in the IÖB Innovation Platform Challenge "CO2 optimized construction site for Wiener Linien". With its proposal "The Construction Site of Today", Liebherr-Werk Telfs GmbH was able to convince the jury with regard to applicability, novelty and degree of maturity, improvement of the environmental balance and cost indication.

Hybrid RTG retrofit for Baltic Hub

The Baltic Hub, formerly DCT Gdansk have commissioned Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. to retrofit a hybrid green energy storage solution on one of its Liebherr RTGs. The terminal has 18 Liebherr RTGs at the port and the initial purchase will allow the Baltic Hub to assess the technology with a view to further retrofitting its fleet of Liebherr RTG with the system.

Hüffermann Krandienst: Flat-Top Krane von Liebherr flexibel im Einsatz

Mit neuen Liebherr-Turmdrehkranen hat Hüffermann Krandienst GmbH eine breite Mietflotte aufgebaut und diese auf der Bauma 2022 um weitere Geräte erweitert. Die Maschinen wirken an verschiedenen Bauprojekten mit, wie drei Beispiele aus Deutschland zeigen.

20.000 Stunden: Liebherr-Injektoren überzeugen im Feldtest

Im Praxistest überzeugt der Common-Rail-Injektor LI3 mit einer überdurchschnittlichen Laufzeit von 20.000 Stunden beim Einsatz in einer australischen Eisenerzmine.In einer der vielen Minen im Westen Australiens stellte der Common-Rail-Injektor LI3 von Liebherr sein volles Leistungspotenzial unter Beweis. Im Praxistest, der in Zusammenarbeit mit einem der weltweit größten Bergbauunternehmen stattfand, trieb diese Injektortechnologie einen von Liebherrs 12-Zylinder-V-Motoren an. Der im Liebherr-Mining-Bagger R 9400 verbaute D9812 erreichte nach 20.000 Stunden das geplante Ende seiner Lebensdauer. Nicht aber die darin verbauten LI3-Injektoren. Sie überstiegen in diesem Dauereinsatz ihre bisherige Laufzeit um stolze 25%.

ONE-Dyas entscheidet sich für LiMain-Fernwartung

Das niederländische Öl- und Gasunternehmen ONE-Dyas ist der erste Kunde, der einen Liebherr-Offshore-Kran vom Typ RL 2600 in Kombination mit dem kürzlich eingeführten Servicekonzept Liebherr Intelligent Maintenance (LiMain) erworben hat. Dabei handelt es sich um ein vollständig digitales, ferngesteuertes und halbautomatisches Wartungssystem, das dem Betreiber der Plattform erhebliche Investitionen und Ressourcen einspart. Dank der LiMain-Fernwartung kann ONE-Dyas den Kran auf ihrer unbemannten Plattform N05-A aus der Ferne warten.

Liebherr Indonesia’s first female technician

Liebherr Indonesia hired its first female technician, Alicia Nelwan, in September 2022 which marked another step forward for the company’s commitment to gender parity in the workplace. Alicia is a mechanical engineering graduate who specialises in rail vehicles. Jayson Cody: From start to finish

Coming back for his third ConExpo with Liebherr, Jayson Cody has had a helping hand in every process of the show. As a District Support Representative for Liebherr’s Earthmoving division, Jayson assists in pre-show planning, assembling machines to prepare them for display, providing on-site support for all machines within his division as well as disassembly. Jayson puts in a large amount of work behind the scenes up to one year ahead of the show.
