10.10.2014 Rieger & Moser take delivery of two new Liebherr mobile cranes
- The LTM 1060-3.1 and LTM 1095-5.1 will modernise the fleet
- Longer telescopic booms extend range of uses
- Rieger & Moser provides an extensive range of services for crane work and heavy goods transport
Ulm-based crane and heavy goods transport contractor Rieger & Moser took delivery of two new mobile cranes at the Liebherr plant in Ehingen in mid-August. The 60-tonner LTM 1060-3.1 and the LTM 1095-5.1 with a load capacity of 95 t will replace two old Liebherr cranes in the company's fleet. The new cranes will be suitable for an extended range of uses due to their considerably longer telescopic booms.
Managing Director Dieter Moser came to the production plant in Ehingen to take delivery of the new mobile cranes. He has been a Liebherr customer for decades and is full of praise for the good after-sales service and straightforward spare parts ordering system. The excellent service and performance of the new mobile cranes were the main reasons that he decided to invest in Liebherr cranes again.
The LTM 1060-3.1 with a telescopic boom measuring 48 m replaces a 23-year old LTM 1040-1 with a 26 m boom. This means that for many jobs the installation of a folding jib is no longer required, which drastically reduces the erection time of the crane.
The new LTM 1095-5.1 has a 58 m telescopic boom and will shortly replace an LTM 1100-1 with a 45 m boom dating from 1997 in the fleet. With a folding jib the 95-tonner achieves a hook height of 82 m and working radii of up to 60 m.
Rieger & Moser GmbH und Co. KG has been part of the global Schmidbauer Group since 1985. The fleet also includes various heavy goods transport vehicles. The company has been growing steadily over the last few years and now provides everything from CAD-based site planning and transport logistics to crane work.
