The World Table Tennis Championships 2014, which were held in Japan’s capital Tokyo, were an international media success. There were 475 combined hours of coverage across 22 TV networks all over the globe. The championships were not only broadcasted live to many Asian and European countries, but also to countries and regions such as the United States, Mexico or the Middle East. The Liebherr Group, both main sponsor of the German and Austrian national teams and the World Table Tennis Championships 2014, is very pleased with the media attention. Additionally, more than 6,000 articles in print and online media as well as millions of views, likes and shares on social media made the tournament the most followed Wold Table Tennis Championships in history.

Three Liebherr flat-top cranes support the transformation of Milan's Bovisa gasometers
Two early twentieth century gasometers in the Bovisa district of Milan are being redeveloped into a new innovation campus for Politecnico di Milano, based on a master plan by architect Renzo Piano. Since March 2025, three Liebherr flat-top cranes have covered the entire construction site, handling lifting and material handling work across the project.

THW builds Danube bridge using four Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 cranes
In Tuttlingen, southern Germany, four small Liebherr cranes have achieved great things: as a temporary replacement for a Danube bridge due for demolition, the LTC 1050-3.1 compact cranes erected a 70-metre-long river crossing as part of a civil defence exercise.
