Liebherr Cranes used on the construction of Queensferry Crossing, Scotland

In Edinburgh (Scotland), more than 12 Liebherr cranes, including three Liebherr 630 EC-H 40 Litronic top-slewing cranes are involved every day in the Forth Crossing Bridge construction. Following its scheduled completion by the end of 2016, this 2.7 km long bridge will be the world’s longest cable stayed bridge with three towers. Products from three Liebherr divisions have been used extensively during the life of the project.

Largest single order in the history of the tower crane division

A total of 58 EC-H series cranes will be used to build the "İstanbul Yeni Havalimanı". The first of these tower cranes were delivered recently and will remain installed at the airport until 2018.

The erection of the 150 EC-B 6 Litronic Flat-Top crane from Liebherr on Germany's highest peak, the Zugspitze, went perfectly. World premiere - The largest Liebherr tower crane model the 1000 EC-B 125 Litronic made it possible to lift a completely pre-assembled rotor, with a diameter of 113m, for a new wind turbine in Deining, Bavaria. The flat-top crane with a hook height of 155.5 m hoisted the assembly weighing almost 70 tonnes to a height of 142.5 m.

Liebherr wins in Paris two Intermat Innovation Awards

On occasion of the international trade press conference " Pré-Intermat " on 22 January 2015 in Paris Liebherr was the only manufacturer who was awarded with two trophies of the Intermat Innovation Award. The Gold Award in the category "Equipment & Components" went to the newly developed crane operator elevator system "LIUP" , a silver trophy in the “Engineering & Systems” category was awarded to the new Liebherr Demolition Control System ( LDC) for demolition excavators.

Liebherr to unveil the newly developed Liebherr LiUP crane driver elevator to the world at the Intermat 2015. It is perfectly coordinated to Liebherr tower systems and can also be attached to older tower systems. One-off installation of the elevator rails to the tower section is required and they can then be left on the section for use.
