Frequently asked questions about our Smart Home partners

Depending on the functions available with your Liebherr appliance, the following functions can be activated via Alexa commands:

• Temperature of fridge/freezer/wine compartment
• SuperCool
• SuperFrost
• IceMaker
• BottleTimer

• Connect your appliance to the Liebherr SmartDevice app.
• Download the Alexa app and search for the “Liebherr SmartDevice” skill
• Activate the skill
• You will be asked to enter your MyLiebherr login details.
• Once Amazon Alexa has connected to your MyLiebherr account, your appliances will be automatically synchronised. Select the appliance(s) that you want to control with Alexa.

Your appliance must have a one-word nickname. It shouldn’t contain any numbers or special characters either. Short names are better.

Have you changed the name of your appliance in the SmartDevice app? Close and reopen the Alexa app to synchronise it.

Alexa doesn’t like our feature description “MaxIce". You can tell Alexa to set the IceMaker to maximum or max.

When adjusting the temperature (except for multi-zone wine appliances), Alexa understands best if you tell it the appliance whose temperature you want to change, but don’t say the zone.

The temperature you choose will let Alexa know which zone to change.

Example: "Alexa, set the temperature of Fridge to 5°" or "Alexa, set the temperature of Fridge to minus 18°"

Because "Timer" is a very general word, Alexa doesn’t understand if you just say "BottleTimer” when you ask. If you want to know whether your BottleTimer is still active or has finished, you can ask about the BottleTimer status or mode.

Example: "Alexa, what’s the BottleTimer status of Fridge?"
