Combined road-rail excavator from Liebherr – the A 922 Rail at the 2014 NordBau trade fair

With the A 922 Rail two-way excavator, Liebherr is presenting a special machine for deployment on road or rail. Liebherr presented the new A 922 Rail Litronic two-way excavator for the first time at the Bauma trade fair in 2013. The transition to the new series is currently taking place in production and one of the first machines will be presented at the NordBau. Like the earlier A 900 C ZW machine, the A 922 Rail can operate on roads or railways with its service weight of either 19.9 or 22.2 tonnes.

Premiere at the Steinexpo 2014: Liebherr crawler excavator R 970 SME

At the Steinexpo 2014, the International Demonstration Show for the Construction Materials Industry, Liebherr is presenting the new crawler excavator R 970 SME from 3rd to 6th September 2014 in Homberg/Nieder-Ofleiden for the first time at a trade fair. The 80 tonnes crawler excavator is the successor of the Super Mass Excavation variant of the trusted R 964 C and is available both as a backhoe bucket as well as a front shovel version.

At the Steinexpo 2014, the International Demonstration Show for the Construction Materials Industry, Liebherr is exhibiting special equipment in Homberg/Nieder-Ofleiden for quarrying. One highlight of the line-up is the mining excavator R 9150, which Liebherr presents for the first time at a European trade fair. The equipment in the 100 tonnes category (130 short tons) had its debut at the MINExpo 2012 in Las Vegas (USA). At the Steinexpo 2014, Liebherr is presenting the successor of the R 984 C as a face shovel version with a bucket capacity of 8.3 m³.

At the Steinexpo 2014, Liebherr presents its mining excavator R 9100 in backhoe configuration. Exhibited in Munich, Germany at the Bauma 2010 trade show for the very first time, Liebherr sets new standards in productivity, reliability and cost-effective operation with the R 9100 mining excavator. This 100 tonnes excavator is powered by a Liebherr V12 diesel engine that complies with all USA/EPA emission limits and makes highly efficient, economical use of fuel.

Liebherr telescopic crawler crane shows its qualities for mining operations

Since the start of 2014 an LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane has been performing superbly in Peru in very difficult conditions. The new crane is operating in a copper-zinc mine in the Andes almost 5,000 metres above sea level. Gruas Alquileres S.A., the owner of the Liebherr crane is very satisfied with its investment: The LTR 1220 handles the conditions with ease. It is the first crane of this type in Latin America.

A brand new Liebherr MK 88 mobile construction crane was recently delivered to the new site of BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH in Ingoldstadt, Germany. The MK 88 will be available to customers there for a very wide range of hoisting work. Site Manager Rainer Speich took delivery of the new taxi crane from Regional Sales Manager for Liebherr Mobile Construction Cranes Christian Schultze.

Fifty Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 mobile cranes sold

A fantastic intermediate result for a crane in this load capacity class: the fiftieth Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 large crane will be delivered in September. The mobile crane with a maximum load capacity of 1,200 tonnes was sold to Japanese company Yamagata. General manager Koichi Sambonsuge visited the Liebherr plant in Ehingen to inspect his new purchase.

Liebherr-Australia opens new Sales and Service Centre near Brisbane

Under the motto "Committed to Your Success", Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. opened its new Sales and Service Centre at Yatala near Brisbane (Queensland) in April 2014. The official opening ceremony was celebrated on Friday the 15th of August 2014 and was attended by numerous customers and other guests. Liebherr will be using this location to serve customers and potential clients locally.
