Leader systems for high inclinations and large radii

The deep foundation machines of the LRH series are a perfect combination of innovative leader design, powerful attachment tool and smart basic machine. Sophisticated leaders enable a wide range of applications, especially when large radii or very high inclinations are required.

  • The leader is attached to the boom head of the crawler crane or duty cycle crawler crane. In addition to pile driving with a hammer or a vibrator, the LRH series of machines can be used for drilling operations with continuous flight auger or down-the-hole hammer. Further applications include soil mixing and cutter soil mixing. Even deep gravel columns can be installed using vibro-replacement.

    LRH 600 with swinging leader

    With this design, the leader hangs on a special traverse. This equipment is especially suitable for installing steel piling elements up to 50 m long, as well as for piling work with large inclinations. Therefore, the swinging leader is often used for marine constructions. The configuration using a vertically suspended and reduced leader is ideal for driving sheet piles.

  • The flexible kinematics enable very high radii and inclinations in all directions. Timber, concrete or steel piles can be installed without any problem.

    Easy assembly

    Quick and easy assembly of the leader sections by means of pin connections.

    Vertical travel device

    The leader is connected to the boom head via supporting tubes. This means the leader height can be changed without influencing the leader inclination.

    Kicker

    Two compensation cylinders ensure that the leader is always parallel to the uppercarriage and so maximum transmission of the torque.

    Flexible

    The leader with especially flexible kinematics allows for a radius of 8 metres, as well as a continuous inclination adjustment of 18° in all directions.

    Mobile

    Transportation is carried out with mounted leader. The machine can erect and lower the leader independently.
