HS 8300.2 Duty cycle crawler crane The HS 8300 with its impressive load capacity of 300 tonnes is one of the largest duty cycle crawler cranes worldwide. This powerful machine is designed for material handling and can be operated with dragline buckets and different grabs with enormous volume capacity. The robust steel fabrication is designed for an extended service life of the giant machine which is ideal for dynamic applications. To further increase performance, the hydraulic crawler crane can be equipped with the innovative hybrid drive Pactronic® that uses surplus energy. This increases the turnover performance significantly and reduces fuel consumption at the same time. Apart from dragline operation the duty cycle crawler crane is suitable for various other material handling and exploitation jobs. The machine can also be equipped with a clamshell for dredging. As a solution, with the "Crane Planner" Liebherr offers software for selecting the optimal crawler crane and the appropriate configuration for the respective use. more Recording of working processes (PDE) With the PDE process data recording system machine data is recorded during the working process. more Control system for dragline operation The "interlock" control system for dragline operations ensures powered lowering with drag winch, while lifting of the bucket with the hoist winch. This reduces fuel consumption and minimizes wear of the free fall brake. Eco silent mode With the eco silent mode the engine speed can be reduced to a predefined, required level. With this feature a notable reduction in diesel consumption can be achieved without any impact on operational output. Noise emissions are thus also lowered. Automatic engine stop The machine can optionally be equipped with an automatic engine stop control. Thanks to this feature it automatically switches off during longer work breaks after evaluating several machine parameters. This is fuel saving and environmentally friendly. Fleet management and teleservice Fleet management and teleservice The data transmission and positioning system “LiDAT” provides important information on the operation of the machine. With these data the operation becomes more efficient. Various additional modules allow machine data reporting or access through service engineers via teleservice. more Backup control Backup control The backup control allows for limited operation of the machine in case of a partial or full break down of the control system. Dragline operation Typical applications with dragline bucket include the excavation of various bulk goods, such as gravel and sand, from rivers or quarries. Grab operation Fitted with a range of different mechanical or hydraulic grabs, duty cycle crawler cranes are used for typical material handling tasks with large working radii. Dredging Dredging is necessary when sediment settles and leads to shallow water, which impairs the shipping industry.
