Used LG 1750 for S.E Levage – successful and fast at a wind farm

Last autumn, French crane and haulage contractor S.E Levage bought an LG 1750 from Liebherr in Ehingen. The notable thing about this was that the mobile lattice boom crane was from the large stock of used cranes which the crane manufacturer markets. The powerful mobile crane went from the factory to France where a number of wind farms are currently being constructed. In ideal weather conditions, the LG 1750 can erect up to three turbines in a week. This is made possible by an excellent set-up concept and fast manoeuvring to the next site. Find out more

Maximum lifting capacity on four axles – Liebherr unveils the new LTM 1120 4.1 at the Conexpo in Las Vegas

Liebherr will be unveiling its new LTM 1120-4.1 at the CONEXPO in Las Vegas using the slogan “There’s nothing more on 4!” It is the most powerful 4-axle all-terrain crane ever built. The new 120-tonne machine breaks into a performance class which has previously been the sole preserve of 5-axle cranes. As far as boom length is concerned, it is on a par with 200-tonne class cranes as its 66 metre telescopic boom is the longest ever to be installed on a 4-axle mobile crane. Liebherr will start deliveries of the new LTM 1120-4.1 in autumn 2020. Find out more

Liebherr MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane masters 1,600 lifts in the Swiss Alps

In the autumn of last year, a crane operation of epic proportions was required for one of the largest infrastructure projects currently under way in Switzerland. Under considerable time pressure, a new 900-square-metre base structure needed to be constructed for the new imposing Lake Grimsel arch dam in the Alps before the onset of winter. A large-scale concrete mixing plant is due to be built on the base this spring. The construction company Frutiger AG is involved in the project and in October deployed its MK 88 Plus Liebherr mobile construction crane to the construction site, located at an altitude of almost 2,000 metres, for this Alpine assignment.
