How long does it take to build a crane? How much weight can a crane lift? And how are cranes controlled? These and many other questions will be answered during our factory tour at the Liebherr plant in Ehingen.

Our factory tours

We offer our factory tours for business partners and educational institutions as well as for private individuals. The contents of the tours are identical, but follow different booking processes. We therefore ask you to select the appropriate category for your group.

Tours for business partners and educational institutions

Duration: 4 hours / approx. 5 km

Participants: max. 25 people

Tours for private individuals

Duration: 4 hours / approx. 5 km

Participants: max. 4 people

This tour is offered exclusively every two weeks

Important information for your visit

  • During the factory tour, we cover a distance of approx. 5 km on foot. A healthy physical condition is required to take part in the factory tours.
  • The tours take place in all weathers. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather and suitable closed shoes with sturdy soles. For safety reasons, people with open shoes cannot take part in the tours.
  • In order to present all the contents of our factory tour to you, we ask you to arrive punctually at the booked time.
  • If your group is travelling by coach, please let us know when you make your booking. We will provide you with a coach parking space for this purpose.
  • If you are arriving by car, please use our car park P6. You will receive further information on this with your booking confirmation.

FAQ

The booking link will take you to the appointment selection page. You should book this appointment at least one week before the start of your desired visit. Please note, however, that the majority of appointments are fully booked several weeks in advance.

In principle, our factory tour is barrier-free. However, you should bear in mind that you will be walking for four hours.

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to take part in the factory tour.

Our customer and private tours are predominantly conducted in German. If you require an English-speaking tour guide, please indicate this when booking. We will endeavour to organise an English-speaking tour guide for you.

We provide the necessary protective equipment for the factory tour.

Photography and carrying cameras and smartphones is prohibited on the entire factory premises. Please leave your electronic devices in the bus or car for the duration of the factory tour.

However, to capture this special day for the future, we have set up a photo area outside our factory premises in front of the administration building. Your tour guide will be happy to take a group photo of you here at the end of the tour.
