Guided Hook
Guided Hook allows the load hook to be moved by hand. By tilting the hook block, the operator can easily specify the direction of travel. Travel movements are possible in both slewing and trolley directions. Turning the hook block clockwise or anticlockwise also makes it possible to move the hook up and down.
The assistant reduces the need for constant communication between the crane operator and slinger by allowing the slinger to guide the hook to the load themselves. This reduces the likelihood of errors and misunderstandings, which increases efficiency and safety on site.

Fewer communication errors between crane operator and slinger
Communication errors between the crane operator and load slinger can lead to misunderstandings and inefficient work processes on large and loud construction sites, especially when it comes to precise positioning of the hook.
Solution: Guided Hook
The assistant reduces the need for constant communication by allowing the slinger to guide the hook to the load themselves. This reduces the likelihood of errors and misunderstandings, which increases efficiency and safety.

Safe and precise work with limited visibility
On sites where the crane operator doesn’t have a direct view of the load or hook, e.g. when working behind large structures or in enclosed areas, positioning the hook is often difficult and subject to error.
Solution: Guided Hook
The assistant allows the slinger to guide the hook to the load by hand without the crane operator needing to provide visual input. This increases safety and precision, especially in complex environments where visibility is limited.
Availability
The Guided Hook assistance system is available as an option for the 25 L & 33 L and the 43 K, 61 K & 91 K.
Other assistance systems
Notes on use:
- The crane operator is responsible for lifting and moving the load safely. The assistance systems are there to provide support. Liebherr recommends that crane operators undergo crane operator training.
- The assistance systems are not always useful in all lifting situations, e.g. in confined areas, which is why they can be activated and deactivated at any time.
