Small batch sizes and a wide range of gear types: Terhaerst Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Neunkirchen near Nuremberg has invested in an LC 700 M gear hobbing machine from Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH. The new machine replaces several older units and allows the company to manufacture a broad spectrum of workpieces with significantly shorter processing times.

Production capacity expanded with new plant
Liebherr-Verzahntechnik strengthens its presence in China
Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH has relocated its Chinese production site to new premises in the Yongchuan district of the Chongqing Free Trade Zone, more than doubling its production area in the process. The new site offers ideal conditions for expanding the production of gear hobbing, generating gear grinding, and gear skiving machines for the Chinese market from 2026 onwards.

Unwanted noises in the drivetrain are often caused during the manufacturing process: In e-mobility in particular, the smallest errors on the gear surface have a significant impact on subsequent NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) characteristics. A new high-frequency sensor system, LHProcessMonitoring, enables even finer measurements and detects even the smallest process deviations at an early stage.
