Liebherr: The Liebherr Group increases turnover to over eleven billion Euros

In 2019, the Liebherr Group completed another very successful business year with turnover of € 11,750 million.

Team players – three crane contractors from northern Germany jointly take delivery of new mobile cranes at the Liebherr Plant in Ehingen

Three crane hire companies based in northern Germany, Sönke Jordt, Schwarze ASC and Megalift jointly took delivery of three new cranes at the end of February in the Liebherr production plant in Ehingen; two LTM 1070-4.2 machines and an LTC 1050-3.1. The joint handover photograph demonstrates the good collaboration between the three companies – using the slogan “Together – for the good of the customer”.

New Liebherr all-round wheel loaders L 526, L 538 and L 546 celebrate their world premiere

The new Liebherr mid-range wheel loaders are celebrating their world premiere. Numerous innovations ensure that the three models, L 526, L 538 and L 546, live up to their reputation as efficient and reliable all-rounders. The strengths of the new wheel loaders include a marked increase in the performance of the travel drive, modifications to the lift arms and a redesigned operator's cab. The reliable exhaust gas treatment means all three models comply with the emission stage V/tier 4f guidelines. For the first time, the innovative assistance systems and new joystick steering from the XPower® large wheel loaders are available for the mid-range wheel loader series.

Reinforcement for wind power – Myshak Group invests in first two Liebherr LG 1750 SX lattice boom mobile cranes in North America

Canadian crane and heavy haul contractor Myshak Crane & Rigging Ltd. took delivery of their first Liebherr LG 1750 SX mobile crane in December 2019 and their second upcoming in April 2020. The 750-tonne lattice boom crane will reinforce the company’s crane fleet and is mainly intended for jobs in the wind power industry. They are the first two LG 1750 with the powerful SX boom system in North America.

Telescopic truck-mounted crane hoists work platform through a gym roof

For the new-build gymnasium at a primary school in the south of Berlin, a telescopic work platform had to be hoisted over the roof into the site as access inside the hall itself was simply not possible. Crane contractor Herrmann & Wittrock used a Liebherr LTF 1060-4.1 truck-mounted crane from its branch in Gross Kienitz to hoist the eight-tonne device into position in constricted conditions.

Family-run Kran & Transport Lausitz takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1050-3.1 mobile crane

A new LTM 1050-3.1 is going to Schleife in the District of Görlitz in East Saxony. Family-run Kran & Transport Lausitz will use the Liebherr 50-tonne mobile crane to replace a 15-year-old LTM 1045-3. One important criterion behind the purchase decision was that the LTM 1050-3.1 can carry the majority of its counterweights on public roads. That means it can be used quickly and flexibly as a taxi crane.

First fully electric 10 and 12 m³ truck mixers from Liebherr and Designwerk

Liebherr and Designwerk have developed the first fully electric truck mixers with 10 and 12 m³ drums on a 5-axle chassis. The first operations are planned for our customers Holcim and KIBAG in Switzerland. This design is perfect for Switzerland, where vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 40 tonnes are allowed to drive on 5 axles.

69 mobile and crawler cranes – Al Faris places major order with Liebherr

Al Faris Group has placed an order with Liebherr for 69 mobile and crawler cranes. The crane company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has ordered cranes worth around 80 million euros. The order includes two LTC 1050-3.1 compact cranes, mobile cranes with lifting capacities from 55 to 650 tonnes and three crawler cranes with lifting capacities from 400 to 800 tonnes.

Liebherr Container Cranes to supply eight rubber tyre gantry (RTG) cranes to DP World

Liebherr Container Cranes and DP World Berbera have signed a contract for the supply of eight RTGs for DP World’s terminal in Berbera, Somaliland. The cranes are due to be ready for operation before the end of 2020.

First Liebherr MK 140 mobile construction crane in Limerick, Ireland

Irish crane company O’Carroll Haulage & Crane Hire has taken delivery of its first Liebherr MK 140 mobile construction crane. The company wishes to better meet the requirements of its existing customers and attract new customers with this addition to its fleet.

Liebherr crane seminar in Saudi Arabia – training is an important factor for ensuring that cranes operate efficiently

Well trained specialists are the key to the success for every company. With its professional range of training courses, Liebherr helps crane operators, dispatchers and also the crane contractor management teams to increase their expertise and ensure that they use mobile cranes safely and efficiently. Around 50 people recently attended a management seminar organised by Liebherr in Saudi Arabia. The course was held in Dammam on the east coast and particularly provided information about the benefits and added value of the innovative technology featured on Liebherr mobile cranes.

A fleet of Liebherr tower cranes is currently being used to build the three-tower LYFE business complex in the Bnei Brak industrial zone in Israel.

For jobs in the high Alps – Clausen purchases second Liebherr LTR 1060 crawler crane

Swiss crane contractor Clausen has had a Liebherr LTR 1060 telescopic crawler crane in its fleet since 2013. It has proven its outstanding off-road properties many times for jobs at high altitudes in the Pennine Alps region. As a result of its great experience with the Liebherr crane and its full order books, Clausen has now purchased a second LTR 1060. This crane is also planned for jobs on mountain sites involving steep, difficult access.

Liebherr supports Weihenstephan Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences with L 506 compact loader for GaLaBau project

Under the motto of “Climate Move”, Weihenstephan Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) is constructing a sustainable garden as part of a project for the State Horticultural Show 2020 in Ingolstadt. A total of 55 students from Germany and France are responsible for the project. The aim is to implement the theme of sustainability as a general principle when carrying out the construction. Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH is sponsoring the project by providing a compact loader L 506 to aid the construction work.

Mumbai goes metro

In India's metropolis, Mumbai, a new metro line is currently under construction. It is aimed to improve traffic and rail congestion of the city. In this giant project, the Robbins Company has been entrusted with parts of the tunnel boring work. To do the job, Robbins relies once again on Liebherr's proven main bearings.
