利勃海尔机械零部件在中国的新工厂正式落成

利勃海尔机械零部件（大连）有限公司于2021年破土动工，并于2024年3月19日在中国大连正式落成，其占地面积约为44,000 平方米。利勃海尔不仅将机械零部件的生产整合到了新工厂，同时这也是该地区的一个重大投资项目。

One heart and one soul: Liebherr’s electric adjustment system for the wind-assisted drive by AYRO

Liebherr is proud to share its collaboration with AYRO, the French industrial start-up that recently successfully equipped the Canopée vessel with four OceanWings®, making it the first hybrid industrial cargo ship powered by wind. With a height of 37 metres and a surface area of 363 m² each, this automated, lowerable and patented vertical wingsail technology will help to reduce CO2 emissions by cutting fossil fuel consumption.

LPI gearboxes: Liebherr’s electrical drive solutions for construction machinery

With the LPI gearbox series, Liebherr offers construction machinery manufacturers a wide range of standardised gearboxes for the electrification of drives. The planetary gearboxes are optimised for a small installation space, maximum torque density and optimum efficiency and are suitable for both electric and hydraulic drives.

Intermat 2024: Liebherr displays exhibits with alternative drives plus a wide range of digital solutions

From 24 to 27 April 2024 in area Ext 6 C 051 of the Intermat trade show, Liebherr is presenting around 20 machines from the product segments of tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes, components, earthmoving machinery, material handling technology, deep foundation machines and concrete technology. Not only the static exhibits of products but also a showcase of the range and innovation work of the Group in the fields of digitalisation, drives and service will form the focus of the company’s 3,264 m2 booth at the trade show.

Intermat 2024: Towards emission-free construction sites with Liebherr energy storage systems

The Liduro Power Port (LPO) is a mobile energy storage system for the supply of construction sites. Hybrid or fully electrically powered construction machinery and equipment can be operated or charged locally emission-free with the mobile energy storage system. The high power density and compact design of the LPO enable efficient and flexible supply to machines and construction sites with a wide range of power requirements. Its constant power output reaches up to 160 kW.

Slewing bearings and drives by Liebherr contribute to the exploration of the universe

Liebherr's components product segment and mtex antenna technology join forces to provide the antennas for the next generation Very Large Array antennas (ngVLA), which will offer a glimpse into the infinite space reach. The ngVLA will be the largest radio astronomy facility in the Northern Hemisphere. The azimuth adjustment of the antennas is made possible by three-row roller bearings with a diameter of three metres and perfectly matched slewing drives.

For the fifth time already, Liebherr is welcoming visitors to gaze upon and be inspired by the world of components for forestry and agriculture and its latest developments at Agritechnica 2023. No wish will be left unfulfilled – from various drive technologies all the way to digital solutions. The vast range of exhibition highlights offers a great product selection, be it a hydrogen or diesel engine, digital camera-monitor systems, the sensor for measuring the moisture of agricultural products or versatile axial piston hydraulics.

In September, Liebherr welcomed over 400 new trainees at various Group sites in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. Climate- and environment-friendly construction: design, materials, and energy supply

In Bodnegg, two residential buildings are currently being built in timber construction, which are largely prefabricated and produced with regional materials and energy from photovoltaic systems. The construction site is supplied with green energy via the Liduro Power Port mobile energy storage system.

Testing makes the difference: new test bench for Liebherr main bearings

Liebherr's Components product segment is revolutionising wind turbine technology with the introduction of a new state-of-the-art main bearing test bench. With a maximum electrical input power of 300 kW, a maximum rotational speed of 15 rpm and an impressive test capacity of up to 125 tons, the innovative test bench ensures rigorous testing and validation of main bearings for offshore wind turbines.

Distribution and services close to the customer: A new Liebherr branch in the Paris region

A new Liebherr branch in the west of Paris is inaugurated in Taverny on 26 May 2023, in the presence of customers and partners, representatives of local politics and the Liebherr family, among others. The expanded structure in Taverny - in addition to the branch in Fontenay-Trésigny - will serve the sales, customer service and maintenance of earthmoving and material handling machines as well as other products from various product segments of the Group in the Paris area.

How Liebherr also inspires little ones: adventure playground opens in Ravensburger Spieleland

Ravensburger Spieleland and the Liebherr Group are joining forces: the new Liebherr adventure playground opened with the start of the theme park’s 2023 season on an area of over 1,300 square metres. At the “Liebherr-Erlebnisspielplatz” in Ravensburger Spieleland, visitors young and old can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Liebherr. Numerous machines invite them to romp around, and visitors can also find out about the Liebherr Group and Liebherr as an employer on display boards.

20,000 hours: Liebherr injectors convince in field test

Liebherr's LI3 common rail injector impresses in the field test with an above-average runtime of 20,000 hours when used in an Australian iron ore mine. In one of the many mines in Western Australia, Liebherr's LI3 common rail injector demonstrated its full performance potential. During the real-life test, which took place in cooperation with one of the world's largest mining companies, this injector technology drove Liebherr’s 12-cylinder diesel V-engine. The D9812 installed in the Liebherr R 9400 mining excavator reached the planned end of its service life after 20,000 hours. But not the LI3 injectors installed in it. In this endurance test, they exceeded their previous service life by an impressive 25%.

Liebherr slewing bearings ensure self-alignment of floating wind turbines

The Liebherr components product segment is part of a revolutionary project by Ming Yang Smart Energy: The Chinese manufacturer of wind turbines and provider of integrated solutions for clean energy has produced the prototype of a floating wind turbine. And Liebherr’s slewing bearings take care of their self-alignment.
