Première in Africa: Allied Crane Hire takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane

Liebherr has delivered the first LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane to the African continent. It went to the crane and heavy transport company Allied Crane Hire, based in Cape Town, South Africa. The long telescopic boom of the 230-tonne crane and technical innovations such as VarioBallast®, VarioBase® and the Liebherr Single Engine Concept were important decision-making criteria.

Argonaut Gold secures four Liebherr dozers

One Liebherr PR 776 72 t / 79 ton dozer and three PR 766 53 t / 58 ton dozers have been purchased by Argonaut Gold for the Magino mine project in Canada. Partnering with Liebherr-Canada ensures that Argonaut Gold receives expert technical knowledge and experience to maximise the performance of the dozers through the long term.

Liebherr presents rough-terrain crane LRT 1090-2.1 at MINExpo in Las Vegas

Liebherr is showcasing the LRT 1090-2.1 rough-terrain crane at MINExpo International® 2021 in Las Vegas from 13-15 September. The 100-US-ton (90 metric tonnes) crane was designed to deliver a high safety level. It is fitted as standard with an outrigger monitor, which automatically detects the support status and includes it in the crane control system. It is also delivered as standard with the VarioBase® variable support base, enhancing flexibility on site and increasing the crane’s lifting capacity.

C’est la première fois que la nouvelle grue Liebherr fera partie d’une flotte de location en Allemagne.

LTM 1450-8.1 from Advanced Cranes dismantles weir in Victoria

The restricted set-up area for a crane made this job a real challenge – an LTM 1450-8.1 from Australian crane contractor Advanced Cranes and Rigging dismantled a weir in Maffra. The hoisting equipment on the 60 year old structure and its concrete bridge were replaced. The weir is on Macalister River, around 200 kilometres east of Melbourne.

Looking towards the future

The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority recently took delivery of new Liebherr mobile harbour crane technology. The port is already successfully operating two LHM 280 for bulk handling operation since many years and is now preparing for future challenges. A new LHM 550 will give TLCPA the opportunity to handle bigger grabs and heavier project cargo goods.

Dans la région de la Soester Börde, en plein cœur de la Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie, l’entreprise Natursteinwerk Rinsche exploite la « pierre bleue allemande » et la « pierre verte d’Anröchte », également connue sous le nom de « dolomite d’Anröchte ». De plus, l’entreprise familiale Rinsche extrait de grandes quantités de gravier. Trois chargeuses sur pneus L 586 XPower® de Liebherr y remplissent des tâches essentielles. Pour les opérations « Load and Carry », méthode avec laquelle elles transportent jusqu’à 12 tonnes de marne de calcaire par procédure de chargement, la consommation réduite et la performance élevée des chargeuses sur pneus ne manquent pas de convaincre.

L’assistance intelligente d’une grue High-Top Liebherr renforce le processus de production

Puissante, peu encombrante et stable - ce sont les mots utilisés par le fabricant italien de pièces en béton préfabriquées Antonio Basso S.p.A pour décrire la grue Liebherr 1000 EC-H 50 Litronic. Au siège de l’entreprise à Trévise, la grue déplace chaque jour des pièces en béton préfabriquées de plusieurs tonnes et est intelligemment mise en réseau avec le système ERP. L’inclinaison de la voie de grue sur le site de l’usine a joué un rôle central dans la décision de choisir la nouvelle machine de Liebherr.
