Liebherr showcases special machines for quarry operations at Steinexpo 2017

Liebherr is represented at the 10th Steinexpo 2017, the International Demonstration Show for the Construction Materials Industry, both with an exhibition stand and with machines in the demonstration area. From August 30 to September 2, in Homberg/Nieder-Ofleiden Liebherr presents special machines such as mining excavators, crawler tractors, and other machines for use in quarries.

Liebherr-Race 2017

On July 15th, the Liebherr-Race 2017 took place on the factory premises of Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH in Kempten, South Germany. 300 pupils divided into 26 teams assembled self-constructed soapbox carts, with which they competed in the soapbox derby. The joint project is a cooperation between Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Liebherr-Elektronik GmbH and 14 schools in the surrounding area.

Downer delivers Australia’s newest R 9800 Mining Excavator

Downer Mining recently purchased a Liebherr R 9800 BH excavator for its BMA Goonyella contract mining operations. The new machine added to the fleet of Liebherr excavators purchased since 2009, which includes four R 9800 BH excavators and four R 9400 excavators, used in both coal and iron ore applications.

Liebherr receives the order to supply armoured mobile and rescue cranes to the German Army

On 27 June 2017, Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH received an order from the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to deliver a total of 71 armoured mobile and recovery cranes worth around 150 million euros.
