Liebherr MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane turns night into day

Hoisting bridge elements through two overhead cables was the most difficult part of the job. A Liebherr MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane dismantled a cable bridge at night. The job was completed within a few hours thanks to the lighting concept of Liebherr mobile construction cranes.

Liebherr is partner for the construction of Europe's biggest demolition excavator

The Swiss construction company, Aregger AG, chose Liebherr Machines Bulle S.A (Switzerland) as its partner for the construction of a new demolition excavator. With an operating weight of up to 300 tonnes, the new A-Rex M9300 is currently Europe's biggest demolition excavator. Among its key components are not only elements from two Liebherr mining excavators, but also the specially developed hydraulic pumps that elevate this giant into a superior performance class. The excavator is currently in successful operation in Switzerland.

Great feedback from AusRAIL Plus 2017: The A 922 Rail Litronic railroader from Liebherr attracted plenty of interest

In November, Liebherr exhibited at AusRAIL Plus, the southern hemisphere’s largest rail conference and exhibition, at the Brisbane Convention Centre. The A 922 Rail Litronic attracted plenty of interest from local and international visitors to the event. The A 922 Rail Litronic wheeled excavator has an operating weight of 19.9-22.8 tonnes and can be used as a railroader: either on the road or on railway tracks. The rail travel drive is mounted on either side of the undercarriage. During re-railing, the rail travel drive brings the tyres to rail level, so that the inner wheels of the dual tyres assume the travel drive on rail.

LTM 11200-9.1 mobile crane assembles special Liebherr construction crane for Max Bögl energy storage project

Tower cranes were assembled in September on the natural electricity storage site at Gaildorf, an innovative energy storage project being completed by the Max Bögl Group in southern Germany. The contractor erected the highest wind turbines in the world there. Max Bögl is combining the wind turbines with a pumped-storage power plant. A Liebherr mobile crane was used to assemble the 630 EC-H top-slewing cranes from the same manufacturer. On the site near Schwäbisch Hall, the LTM 11200-9.1 assembled the three massive construction cranes on the 40-metre high foundations of the wind turbines which are also used as water storage basins.
