Despite waves and compensation movements of the vessel's hull, the positioning of goods weighing many tonnes must be assured with millimetre accuracy. Thanks to a highly reliable electric control system using a joystick or remote guidance, the crane operator is able to control the movements of the crane precisely and so transfer the precision to the load.
Safety for man, machine and cargo are decisive criteria when loading heavy goods for sea transportation. The Liebherr-Litronic system, installed in our heavy lifty cranes as standard, supports the crane operator with relevant crane data.
The integrated collision alert system automatically prevents the boom from coming into contact with ship components as well as other ship cranes during parallel operation. This means complete safety and control.
The Liebherr ship crane models for heavy lift operations cover a load bearing capacity of up to 1000 tonnes and an outreach of up to 42 metres. Here, the Liebherr Sycratronic system provides the means to operate several cranes in tandem operation. This means that you can utilise the full potential of your ship cranes.
With years of experience, Liebherr’s crane design is able to meet special specifications and regulations for use. Prescribed lists of criteria such as the St. Lawrence Seaway Regulations therefore do not pose a problem.
