Liebherr in the People's Republic of China

The Liebherr LAMC Aviation (Changsha) Co., Ltd. joint venture founded in 2012 develops and produces landing gear systems for the Chinese aerospace industry as well as for the international aerospace market. The first project is the landing gear for the COMAC C919 airliner. Additionally, the company will work on the landing gear systems for the Chinese ARJ21 regional jet and for other programs in the years ahead.

Liebherr (China) Co., Ltd. assembles gear hobbing machines and generating grinding machines at the site in Chongqing. The assembly hall is located on the grounds of the Phoenix Lake Industrial Park in Yongchuan and is roughly 5,000 m². It includes 670 m² of office space and a showroom, where the LC 280 gear hobbing machine and the LGG 280 generating grinding machine on 800 m² are presented. A technology and training centre assist with the education and training of the growing customer base.

Liebherr Machinery (Dalian) Co., Ltd. in the North Chinese port city of Dalian is a production company in the Earthmoving Product Division. It produces a well balanced program of crawler excavators, wheel loaders, and material handling machines for the Chinese market as well as for export markets. The crawler excavators are used in earthmoving, civil engineering, the steel industry, mining, as well as industrial handling. Besides the complete range of industrial machines, the production of diversified types of gearboxes is also integrated, largely applied on earthmoving machines and wind power projects.

As a subsidiary of Liebherr-Purchasing Service GmbH, it provides customized services and sourcing access to the Asian market. This includes the technical expertise to investigate and evaluate suppliers and quality management of serial parts.

Liebherr (HGK) Limited was established in 1994 in Hong Kong with the aim to expand sales activities in the product areas of crawler cranes, both duty cycle and lift version, as well as piling and drilling rigs to entire South-East Asia. In the year 2000 a new sales and service company with a total area of 23,000m² was founded. It fulfills the latest market requirements and offers complete customer service thanks to an incorporated repair and maintenance workshop, a customer service and spare parts centre as well as a training centre. In this facility about 100 experienced workers provide superior service to customers. Furthermore Liebherr has got a distributor which sells and supports Refrigeration and freezing appliances.

Since 1996, Liebherr develops, manufactures, and sells concrete mixers for the Chinese market in Xuzhou in the Jiangsu Province in Eastern China.

The product range of the two Liebherr companies there – including a joint venture – covers truck mixers, stationary mixing plants, and recycling plants with long service lives. In the mid 1990s Xuzhou Liebherr Concrete Machinery Co., Ltd. was the first Liebherr joint venture manufacturer in the People's Republic of China.
