At Bauma 2022, the Liebherr Tower Cranes division and Metallica Caribbean S.A. have signed a Dealer Agreement for the Cuban market. Customers across Cuba will be able to benefit from the full range of Liebherr tower cranes and self-erecting cranes with equipment from 2.5 to 50 tons and 90-meter jib lengths with direct service in their country.
Following the agreement, the fleet of Liebherr cranes will supply the construction market with quality equipment with high lifting speeds and low energy consumption that gives high productivity and efficiency which the market requires.
Metallica Caribbean S.A. will now also be able to access key Liebherr services such as assistance services and training courses, allowing for continuous development of the local Cuban market.
A perfect match
The Metallica Caribbean S.A. team has a long track record of construction and infrastructure projects in Cuba. Amongst others, they carried out important sales of tower cranes which are being used for the construction of hotels in Havana and Varadero.

Considerate and flexible: two Liebherr NC-B cranes at work in Sai Kung
A new residential development is under construction in Ho Chung, Sai Kung. Foundation and excavation and lateral support works have been underway since December 2024 and are expected to continue until end of 2026. Water for a whole valley: Liebherr Fibre crane at work high in Val Trompia
In Bovegno, Italy, work is progressing on a new drinking water treatment plant designed to supply thousands of residents and businesses across the Val Trompia region. Handling the major lifting tasks on site is a Liebherr 240 EC-B Fibre tower crane, its fourth deployment and the first of its kind to arrive in the country.
