Mathieu SA has been using Liebherr machines since 1994 and now has a fleet of around fifteen Liebherr machines. XPower wheel loader: Performance, efficiency and comfort as decisive criteria
Mathieu SA uses an L 580 XPower wheel loader to load the trucks at the 23-hectare quarry in Préalle, which extracts around 300,000 tonnes of material every year. "Low fuel consumption, high reliability and operator comfort are the main reasons we opted for this Liebherr wheel loader," says Laurent Eynatten, Head of Materials Management. "We also consciously involve our operators in the decision-making process - after all, they work with the machine every day." The centrepiece of the XPower wheel loader is the power-split travel drive, which ensures maximum performance and fuel efficiency across all applications.
A Liebherr R 970 SME crawler excavator is also in operation at the quarry and complements the already extensive Liebherr fleet. "We operate around fifteen machines in total, including seven crawler excavators, five wheeled excavators and two wheel loaders. We already had one of the first XPower machines in operation back in 2016. Fuel efficiency is a powerful argument for us, but it is just as important to rely on a European manufacturer with an innovative and broadly diversified product range," emphasises Frédéric Mathieu, Managing Director of Mathieu SA.
