Liebherr USA, Co. mobile and crawler cranes received the Environmental Award from the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) at its Annual Conference hosted on Amelia Island in April 2026. SC&RA is an international organization comprised of more than 1,350 members from 46 nations.
The SC&RA Environmental Award is presented to a member company that demonstrates a consistent commitment to environmental protection. Firms across the United States and around the world submit dozens of entries to the SC&RA Awards competition each year. The Awards program recognizes worldwide excellence in the crane, rigging and specialized transportation industry.
The award was accepted by Simon Schuster, Divisional Director of mobile and crawler cranes, Liebherr USA, Co. Schuster noted, “This award means a lot to the entire Liebherr team. It not only highlights the great measures we are taking towards a more sustainable future, but it also demonstrates the excellent teamwork between our crane factory in Germany and our mixed sales organization here in the US.”

Permit-free from south to north: new Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3 mobile crane for Schlamann-Autokrane GmbH
The LTM 1055-3.3 is the second of four new Liebherr mobile cranes ordered by Schlamann-Autokrane GmbH this year. The new 55-tonne crane is the lightest 3-axle all-terrain crane on the market: it travelled from the Liebherr plant in Ehingen, Upper Swabia, to Nienburg in Lower Saxony without the need for complex authorisation procedures.

Liebherr-Canada delivers new R 9150 excavator to Hammerstone Quarry
In June, Hammerstone Infrastructure Materials took delivery of an R 9150 excavator. This delivery brings Hammerstone’s number of these 150-tonne-class Liebherr excavators to three, with all of these machines working at Hammerstone’s Muskeg Quarry, one of Western Canada’s biggest limestone quarries.
