Crane Service Inc. acquires a Liebherr LG 1800-1.0 lattice boom crane at Bauma 2025
- Crane Service Inc. continues to grow their fleet with the purchase of a Liebherr LG 1800-1.0 lattice boom crane.
Crane Service Inc. purchased an LG 1800-1.0 lattice boom crane at Bauma 2025, the largest construction tradeshow in the world. This purchase further strengthens the partnership between the two companies and expands the capabilities of Crane Service Inc. for their customers.
Crane Service Inc. has proudly served as a leader in the crane industry since 1960 and today operates in 35 states spanning the contiguous United States. With an extensive fleet including over 15 different models of Liebherr cranes, Crane Service Inc. provides full service heavy lift and rigging solutions across a range of applications. This machine will be the third LG 1800-1.0 in their fleet and is set to work on wind farm sites assisting with maintenance and construction of wind turbines across the nation.
Expanding wind energy
Liebherr lattice boom cranes have been specifically enhanced for use in the wind industry with a large selection of boom configurations allowing for use on the latest generation of wind turbines. This paired with the all-terrain chassis built into all Liebherr LG cranes gives operators extraordinary maneuverability on site as well as the ideal configuration to complete the project on time and on schedule. The LG 1800-1.0 also comes equipped with WindSpeed load charts, increasing safety and allowing operators to perform lifts in conditions with higher wind speeds with peace of mind.

Liebherr is increasing the overall service life of its Fibre ropes from 14 to 16 years, with the decisive period of use rising to up to 12 years. This is based on multi-year ageing trials on test rigs and analyses of ropes already in field. The new ruling applies automatically to all new ropes and those already in the field. This step forms part of Liebherr's ongoing path towards establishing Fibre technology as the new standard in the tower crane market.
