Liebherr wheel loaders ensure the efficient transport and loading of steel and metal scrap as well as feeding the shredder systems. With the optimised Z-kinematics of the medium-sized wheel loaders and the industrial lift mast of the XPower wheel loaders, they are particularly suitable for tough scrap recycling applications. Thanks to their robust design, these machines are extremely durable, while various assistance systems further increase safety, efficiency and comfort.

Innovative attachments specifically-developed for scrap handling help to maximise the efficiency, flexibility and performance of the entire scrap handling process. Orange peel grabs, sorting grabs, hydraulic magnets, stick extensions and quick-change systems increase the versatility of Liebherr material handlers.

The multi-tine grab, specifically developed for the tough demands of scrap handling, stand for exceptional load capacity, maximum resistance and a long service life. Depending on the machine size and requirements, there is a large product portfolio of four- and five-shell grabs with different shell shapes to choose from.

With the Liebherr quick-change system, almost any hydraulic or mechanical attachment can be changed conveniently, quickly and easily. The quick-change system for tipping kinematics enables a change between scrap shears, stick extensions and also the sorting grab, while suspended attachments, such as orange peel grabs or magnetic plates, can be changed with the MH 40C Solidlink or MH 110B Solidlink quick-change system.

The robust and reliable magnet plates enable the safe handling of large steel plates or bulk materials such as chips, ingots or steel and cast scrap. The magnet plate also provides support when separating magnetic from non-magnetic metals and during cleaning work in scrap yards.

The use of a stick extension offers extended application possibilities, especially in scrap utilisation. Depending on the task at hand, it enables the material handler to switch quickly and easily between scrap shears and orange peel grabs. Depending on the machine and requirements, stick extensions for tilting kinematics and for suspended attachments are available in different lengths.

Liebherr-Power Efficiency (LPE) optimises the interaction of the drive components in terms of efficiency and enables machine operation in the area of the lowest specific fuel consumption for less consumption and more efficiency with the same performance.
