100,000th machine: Liebherr sets milestone on its 75th anniversary

It is another milestone in the history of Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH: the production of the 100,000th machine at the Liebherr Group's founding site. The anniversary machine is absolutely unique, as all employees were able to place their names on the machine. The white LH 22 M Industry therefore bears a very special signature.

Sand kings: XPower wheel loaders and their smart machine concept are ideal for handling sand and gravel

For more than 20 years, Hülskens GmbH & Co. KG has been using powerful Liebherr machines for extracting and processing mineral raw materials. Eleven XPower wheel loaders perform part of the material handling on the site. Smart assistance systems ensure more effective work cycles and easier operation of the wheel loaders. In addition to the excellent machine quality, Hülskens appreciates Liebherr's outstanding service expertise and availability of spare parts.

Liebherr at IFAT 2024 in Munich

Liebherr will be present at IFAT 2024, the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, which will take place in Munich from 13 to 17 May 2024, with a stand measuring around 280 m². In Hall C5, Stand 151/250, Liebherr will be exhibiting machines specially designed for use in waste management and recycling. The new LH 40 M Port Elektro electric material handling machine will be celebrating its trade fair premiere in Germany, as well as the new GMM 35-5 multi-tine grapple. With the L 507 E and the L 566 XPower, Liebherr will be showing two representatives from its wheel loader portfolio. The Liebherr T 60-9s, T 41-7s and T 33-10s telescopic handlers will also be part of the exhibition appearance. In the area of digitalisation, Liebherr will be showing the LiXplore® camera monitor system.

On an icy mission: HS 8200

Around 250 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, Liebherr is part of the largest construction project in Greenland's history. Munk Civil Engineering is carrying out dredging work for two airport projects with the HS 8200 duty cycle crawler crane. The Arctic conditions and logistics pose a particular challenge.

Used Equipment Marketplace: New portal for Liebherr used machines

With the Used Equipment Marketplace, Liebherr is launching a new portal specifically for the sale of used machines. On this digital platform, customers can find a wide range of used construction and material handling machines, used attachments and accessories as well as used spare parts – directly from certified Liebherr sales and service partners. The Used Equipment Marketplace is available both as a website application in the new Liebherr design with many different features and as an app for quick, direct access on a smartphone.

Special excavators: the Liebherr R 980 SME in slag handling operations

Backes Transport und Schlackenaufbereitung GmbH, a firm based in Dillingen in the Saarland, uses the Liebherr R 980 SME crawler excavator for loading hot and cold slag. To meet the challenges of this kind of operation, the machine was specially built per our customer’s requirements.

Intermat 2024: Liebherr displays exhibits with alternative drives plus a wide range of digital solutions

From 24 to 27 April 2024 in area Ext 6 C 051 of the Intermat trade show, Liebherr is presenting around 20 machines from the product segments of tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes, components, earthmoving machinery, material handling technology, deep foundation machines and concrete technology. The L 507 E battery-electric wheel loader has been available from Liebherr sales partners in several European countries since Octobre 2023. The model is the first electric wheel loader in the group. It combines the demonstrable advantages of a Liebherr Stereoloader with a battery-electric drive design developed by Liebherr.

XXL Attachment: GMZ 180B is Liebherr's largest clamshell

Liebherr presents the new GMZ 180B, its largest clamshell to date. The 8.5 tonne attachment is specially designed for coal handling applications. With a capacity of 16 m³, fast loading and unloading processes are guaranteed.

In September, Liebherr welcomed over 400 new trainees at various Group sites in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France.
