On an icy mission: HS 8200

Around 250 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, Liebherr is part of the largest construction project in Greenland's history. Munk Civil Engineering is carrying out dredging work for two airport projects with the HS 8200 duty cycle crawler crane. The Arctic conditions and logistics pose a particular challenge.

Its most recent crane job took place in Scharbeutz Haffkrug in northern Germany, where an LTM 1300-6.2 erected a pier on which visitors will be able to walk 230 metres across the Baltic Sea this summer.

Used Equipment Marketplace: New portal for Liebherr used machines

With the Used Equipment Marketplace, Liebherr is launching a new portal specifically for the sale of used machines. On this digital platform, customers can find a wide range of used construction and material handling machines, used attachments and accessories as well as used spare parts – directly from certified Liebherr sales and service partners. The Used Equipment Marketplace is available both as a website application in the new Liebherr design with many different features and as an app for quick, direct access on a smartphone.

New ultra-low-temperature freezers: compact format, maximum performance

Liebherr expands its reliable range of ultra-low-temperature freezers to include a compact 350-litre variant. The new model is especially suitable for smaller laboratories thanks to its small footprint. Ultra-low-temperature freezers (ULT) are specially designed for extremely low storage temperatures of –40 °C to –86 °C and are used in particular for short- and long-term storage of sensitive samples such as DNA, viruses, proteins and vaccinations.

Simply the best: LTM 1300-6.3 for crane rental company Xin-Hong in Taiwan

Xin-Hong Crane Engineering Co., Ltd. has taken delivery of its third Liebherr crane. The new LTM 1300-6.3 is the first 300-tonne crane in the Taiwanese crane rental company’s fleet. Thanks to its 90-metre-long boom and high lifting capacities, the mobile crane is ideal for applications that require increasingly high hook heights.

Liebherr tower cranes renovate bridge in Spain

A major bridge in Seville is being renovated with the help of two high-top cranes. Securing them to the bridge’s pylons proved a tricky task in terms of planning and assembly, as the struts had to be guided through the stay cables connecting the carriageway to the pylons.

At analytica, which takes place from 9 to 12 April 2024 in Munich, Liebherr-Hausgeräte will be exhibiting a comprehensive range of high-performance appliances featuring pioneering technology. analytica is the world’s most important trade show for laboratory technology, analytics and biotechnology, encompassing the complete spectrum of laboratory applications in research and industry. Liebherr-Aerospace is ready for MRO Americas, which will take place for the first time in Chicago, Illinois (USA) from April 9 to 11, 2024.

First in Germany: Sönke Jordt takes delivery of an LTM 1100-5.3 with LICCON3 control

The first LTM 1100-5.3 mobile crane has been added to the crane fleet of the northern German company Sönke Jordt Maschinen- und Schwertransport GmbH & CO. KG. After the LTM 1110-5.2, Liebherr has now delivered the second crane model with the new LICCON3 control to a customer. The crane’s compact design and high mobility due to flexible axle loads were the main reasons for the purchase.

Liebherr-Aerospace enhances industrial competencies by the acquisition of GIT Galvanoplastie Industrielle Toulousaine

Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS has acquired the company GIT Galvanoplastie Industrielle Toulousaine SAS (GIT SAS), a company specializing in the surface treatment of aerospace parts. Its acquisition and integration in the Liebherr Group took place on March 15, 2024. The company will shortly be renamed and registered as Liebherr-Aerospace Coatings SAS.

Liebherr makes a splash at IFCEE 2024
