Kästli Bau AG takes delivery of its new Liebherr R 945 crawler excavator at Bauma 2025

During Bauma, the family-run Swiss company Kästli Bau AG was handed the keys to its new R 945 crawler excavator. In collaboration with the Liebherr Application Center, the machine weighing almost 52 tonnes was custom-equipped for use in demolition work. The R 945 painted in Kästli’s red livery will shortly be put to use in earthmoving and selective demolition work.

With the investment in three Liebherr 620 HC-L cranes, Bennetts Cranes is expanding its fleet with powerful, compact and efficient luffing jib cranes. The British crane rental company is the first customer worldwide to put this new model into operation. Joachim Kern has been with Liebherr for nearly 20 years and currently works as product manager for duty cycle crawler cranes at Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH. He appreciates both the design and development opportunities in his work, as well as the positive work environment. He finds the diverse applications of Liebherr machines worldwide particularly fascinating. This year, he will be attending Bauma for the sixth time and can be found at the exhibit of the HS 8100.2 dual power.

Liebherr exhibits at Elko Mining Expo 2025

The 2025 Elko Mining Expo will take place in Elko, Nevada from June 2-6, 2025. Representatives from Liebherr’s mining division will be located at booth #574-576 to educate attendees about the latest in Liebherr zero-emission mining technology and product portfolio including the PR 776 dozer and R 9600 excavator.

R 920 G8-E: Presenting the first battery-powered electric crawler excavator at Bauma 2025

Liebherr-France SAS is the global development centre of the Liebherr Group for crawler excavators for earthmoving. We are exhibiting our first ever battery-powered electric crawler excavator, the R 920 G8-E, at Bauma 2025 in Munich. The R 920 G8-E has the same capability level as a crawler excavator with combustion engine and features particularly low noise levels and a lack of emissions. The model is ideal for building sites in cities.

Worldwide début at Bauma 2025: The new R 917 Compact G8 crawler excavator

With the R 917 Compact G8.0 crawler excavator and the R 915 Compact G8 that is also being introduced at Bauma 2025, Liebherr France SAS is completing the range of crawler excavators developed and manufactured in Colmar. With an operating weight of around 17.5 tonnes, the new machine joins the Liebherr model range of compact crawler excavators over 14 t and therefore makes the model range one of the most comprehensive on the market.
