Hannover Messe 2018: Liebherr introduces hydraulic cylinder series 380 bar

Liebherr optimises its hydraulic components portfolio by introducing a new hydraulic cylinder series product range for pressures of up to 380 bar. Thus, Liebherr offers cost-effective standard solutions in a pressure range of up to 380 bar and presents the new cylinders for the first time at Hannover Messe 2018 (hall 23, booth B48).

Regel modernising its crane fleet with new Liebherr mobile crane LTM 1500-8.1

Albert Regel GmbH was on the lookout for a new 500-tonne crane for its Germany-wide rental business. The specialist for heavy haulage, crane and assembly logistics is already operating two Liebherr mobile cranes of type LTM 1500-8.1 in its fleet. Besides good experience, the service provided by Liebherr played a crucial role in the purchase decision. The older of the two Liebherr 500-tonne cranes will be replaced by a new one. In comparison to the 14 year old crane, the new 8-axle machine comes with telescopic guying and the option of fully disassembling the telescopic boom.

Liebherr-Components Kirchdorf GmbH opens a new production site for the assembly of hydraulic cylinders in Oberopfingen on schedule. With the new site, Liebherr is doubling the production area for hydraulic cylinders, dampers and system solutions, thus driving growth in the area of hydraulic cylinders.

Scholl expands fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 mobile crane

Karl Scholl GmbH based in Heidelberg took delivery of a new LTM 1070-4.2 in mid-March. The 50 metre telescopic boom was a major criterion in deciding in favour of the 70-tonne crane from Liebherr. Managing Director Yvonne Scholl and her partner Andreas Merkel, who is responsible for external technical services, travelled to the manufacturing plant in Ehingen to take delivery of the new crane.

Grand Central, Liebherr and Newcastle University Consortium Receives Grant from UK RSSB to Develop Active Radial Suspension System

A consortium of Liebherr-Transportation Systems and NewRail, led by Grand Central Rail have been awarded a grant by the UK Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) for the development of an Active Radial Suspension System in order to reduce wheel and track wear.

Liebherr delivers slewing drives for Magni telehandlers

The Liebherr Components division and Magni Telescopic Handlers Srl, a leading manufacturer of rotating telescopic handlers based in Modena (Italy), have signed a contract for the delivery of drives for Magni machines. By doing so, Liebherr introduces its three-stage slewing drives to the telehandler market and, thus, provides for higher precision and stability of RTH machines.

Liebherr LR 1500 crawler crane dismantles tunnel drilling machine on Sicily

Strong, compact and simple – the perfect description of the Liebherr LR 1500 in three words. And it was precisely these features which were required to dismantle a large tunnel drilling machine on Sicily. The 500-tonne crawler crane operated by Italian crane contractor Gradito completed the dismantling of this enormous drilling machine as part of a two-month contract for widening a major road.

Successful Testing of Eco-clim in Occitania’s TERs

The 100% “green” Eco-clim air conditioning system, which has been tested by the Occitania Region, SNCF and Liebherr-Transportation Systems on a TER train over the last two years, has surpassed expectations in terms of passenger comfort and maintenance costs according to the preliminary conclusions of the trial phase. The test phase will continue until August 2019.
