Liebherr machinery was involved in constructing German landmarks

Construction changes our world. It creates new architectural masterpieces and shapes the skylines of our cities. A lot of famous landmarks in Germany were built using Liebherr machinery.

Grand Paris: Delivery of the tenth Liebherr 1000 EC-H 40 High-Top crane within two years

Since May 2018, there have been ten 1000 EC-H 40 High-Top tower cranes with very high lifting capacities on the construction sites of the Grand Paris Express. The 1000 EC-H 40 is the largest Liebherr tower crane model operating in France. “The deployment of these cranes is interesting. Whereas the tower crane market in France generally demands lifting capacities of between 12 and 16 tonnes, machines with lifting capacities of over 25 tonnes are needed for the Grand Paris Express project. These large cranes are being used to place pre-cast tunnel lining segments at great speed,” says Christophe Zimmermann, Managing Director of Liebherr Grues à Tour France.

Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 places cupola on Berlin’s Humboldt Forum

An LTM 1500-8.1 owned by Mobi-Hub completed a job in the centre of Berlin in front of a large crowd – the Liebherr crane placed the magnificent cupola on the new Humboldt Forum. The historically reconstructed cupola is decorated with eight angel figures and palm leaves, as well as a lantern and a golden cross. The reconstruction of the destroyed Berlin Palace has been undertaken to restore Berlin’s historic cityscape.

Liebherr lifting space components at Port Canaveral

A special modified LHM 600 at Port Canaveral marks the largest mobile harbour crane in the U.S. to handle all types of heavy cargo, including space components. The machine features a maximum lifting capacity of up to 154 tonnes and 58 metres boom reach. A special double layer winch in combination with a high-rise configuration allows a maximum lifting height of up to 70 meters.

LR 1800-1.0: “One hundred percent variable”

The new Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane gets up and going! The first ten units of this highly flexible crawler crane, which can be modified for lots of different sectors, have already been delivered to business partners in Spain, the USA and Asia. One of these powerful industrial cranes has also been delivered to Colonia Spezialfahrzeuge. The Cologne-based company mainly intended to use its new purchase in industry and plant construction as well as for bridge hoists. However, this modern crawler crane first had to tackle a job in a wind farm.

Liebherr delivers its 100,000th truck mixer

Liebherr handed over its hundred thousandth truck mixer in spring 2020. It is a HTM 905, which was picked up by the company Heinz Transportbeton Ingolstadt GmbH & Co KG. The management of Heinz had come personally to the Liebherr factory in Bad Schussenried for this special pick-up.

1000th Liebherr 81 K.1 fast-erecting crane delivered

At the end of June, Liebherr’s Tower Crane Division delivered its 1000th 81 K.1 since its launch back in 2016. The crane continues the successful run of the K series, particularly that of its predecessor, the 81 K. The Liebherr fast-erecting crane went to a family-run business in Ruhpolding, Bavaria. For Mayer Hoch – und Tiefbau GmbH, this is the third fast-erecting crane of its type and the fourteenth Liebherr tower crane in total.

Off to Palma de Majorca: Liebherr R 930 G8 crawler excavator for the Dos Mas Group

For operators who need a versatile and efficient crawler excavator, the Liebherr R 930 G8 (Stage V) meets all requirements. The Dos Mas Group, based in Palma de Majorca (Balearic Islands) is also convinced of this. That's why, in 2019, they decided to invest in their first Generation 8 crawler excavator.

Liebherr to Overhaul Air Conditioning Systems for Paris Tramways

Liebherr-Transportation Systems has been selected by the RATP Group (Régie autonome des transports Parisiens) to overhaul and repair 284 heating-, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems for Paris tramways. The review and maintenance work will be carried out in Liebherr’s new repair shop in the North of Paris until December 2021.

Mobile crane fleet always state of the art – BKL takes delivery of new LTM 1350-6.1

BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 mobile crane. This is the third crane of this type in the company’s fleet. The new purchase will support BKL’s strategy of keeping its mobile crane fleet up with the state of the art. Currently, its fleet has an average age of around just 3.5 years.

New generation with greater efficiency:
Liebherr A 922 Rail Litronic

Liebherr is presenting the new A 922 Rail Litronic in exhaust emission stage V. Because it is a railroad machine, the A 922 Rail is suitable for use on railway tracks and for road construction and is fast thanks to the mobile undercarriage. A rail travel drive is mounted on both sides of the undercarriage. When entering the rails, the rail travel drive lifts the tyres to rail height. The inside wheels of the dual tyres ensure travel of the excavator on the tracks.

Sönke Jordt expands range of services with a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane

North German crane and heavy haulage contractor Sönke Jordt GmbH & Co. KFG has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane. The new 300 tonne crane will help to expand the range of services offered by the fleet. The new purchase marks the company’s entry into the large crane class.

Liebherr mobile cranes erect monument to the “Tailor of Ulm”

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of his birth, a prominent monument has been erected to aviation pioneer Albrecht Ludwig Berblinger. Using two Liebherr mobile cranes, Ulm-based crane and heavy haulage contractor Rieger & Moser GmbH & Co. KG erected a walk-in spiral staircase tower, whose appearance is reminiscent of the “Tailor of Ulm’s” flying machine. The Berblinger Tower is now positioned at precisely the point from where Berblinger attempted to fly over the River Danube in 1811.
